Lamont campaign demands apology for hacking allegations
From Majikthise blog:

August 13, 2006

"Ned Lamont's campaign officially demanded an apology from the Lieberman camp for falsely accusing Lamont supporters of hacking the Lieberman website on primary day.

Lieberman's campaign accused Lamont supporters of hacking the website with zero evidence that the website had been interfered with in any way. All they knew was that their site failed at the critical moment. That didn't stop them from filing a complaint with the FBI and issuing a press release accusing Lamont supporters of federal crimes on primary day.

Like most guys who can't keep it up, the Lieberman crew blames others."

2. I'm glad they're asking for an appology, but can't they get some
validation to what we all think (that cheap Joe just didn't buy enough bandwidth)? That would be SOOOO MUCH BETTER to be able to release THAT info along with the request for an appology!

6. Not very principled of Joe. Where are those moral values that are
so important to Holy Joe? A false accusation in a campaign is a Republican hallmark...maybe Joe really would prefer their company.

14. So Joe's hackers couldn't hack Lamont's website?
It is a Republic trait to accuse the Democrats of the crimes the Republics are committing.

7. Good, lets make sure this gets some airplay
There are many people who heard Lieberman's accusations aired without any refutation from the corporate media. As a result there are many people who still believe Lieberman's lie.

Lieberman needs to apologize, and then drop out of the race. He is a disgrace, and he is a liar. It is time for him to go.

10. demand all the apologies you want...
...but don't hold your breathe waiting for one. I find it fascinating how politicians who wrap themselves in the mantle of superior character values dive into gutter politics so easily and quickly; and how the M$M never calls them on it. I want the bumpersticker that says: "Impeachment: it's not just for blow jobs anymore".

11. Stop pro-Lieberman Kinky Friedman's out-of-Texas $ from Democrats
Some ill-informed Democrats (lots of them out of state, but unfortunately some of them here at DU) are sending money to Kinky Friedman's campaign because they think it's funny that we have a Jesse Ventura/Arnold Schwarzenegger-type moron fucking up the governor's race here in Texas.

Please help put a stop to that crap, but it's not funny for us down here in Texas.

Kinky is a big supporter of this new Zell Lieberman. On Joe Scarborough's show this week, Kinky praised Lieberman for leaving the Democratic Party, and Kinky suggested liberals were anti-American:

SCARBOROUGH: Hey, Kinky, could the argument be that both parties are extreme, vote for the new independent?

FRIEDMAN: That could certainly be. I think the mood of the country is really, really independent. I mean, I think the winds of change are really blowing right now. And all the—the way I see Lieberman, he's very—he's pro-America, unashamedly, and he's pro-Israel. And these liberals are
not.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14285602

This bullshit echoes Kinky's support for Bush:

Question: So does this idea of the honorable cowboy have anything to do with why you threw your support behind President Bush in this last election? You did, didn’t you?
Kinky: Yes. I did in this last election, but I didn’t vote for him the first time.
Question: Who did you vote for in 2000?
Kinky: I voted for Gore then. I was conflicted. . .but I was not for Bush that time. Since then, though, we’ve become friends. And that’s what’s changed things.
Question: So it’s your friendship with him that’s changed your mind about having him as president more than his specific political positions?
Kinky: Well, actually, I agree with most of his political positions overseas, his foreign policy. On domestic issues, I’m more in line with the Democrats. I basically think he played a poor hand well after September 11. What he’s been doing in the Near East and in the Middle East, he’s handling that well, I think.

http://www.ruminator.com/content/040501.html (please also bear in mind that Kinky's claim to have voted for Gore in 2000 is a straight-up lie because Kinky's voting records confirm Kinky didn't vote in any elections for at least a decade before his vote for Bush in 2004. http://www.kristv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4517585).

Please help us shut this clown down in Texas: next time you hear some Democrat expressing interest in Kinky, please slap them.

15. My thinking is that the anti-Lieberman crowd is larger in this forum than
the crowd that is directly interested in the Texas governors race. By posting in the anti-Lieberman threads, I was trying to reach a different audience.

Everyone in the Texas forum is already aware that Kinky is a joke candidate (who's run as a Republican before he found his "independent" roots) who is siphoning off money and votes from Democrats who are frustrated with the whole system in Texas.

I'll give it a try, but sometimes these regional issues fade quickly in GD:P and GD.

Since you have many great reasons for us to stay away from him, it is important that you get your word out. Thanks for the info!

All primary day long, CNN lied for LIEberman.

Ned Lamont should demand an apology from liars like Wolf the Whore and KKKandy KKKrowley!

16. They should really hit on this. Little Joey was wrong.
It is not Lieberman's fault that the website went down. I doubt any Senator running for reelection is into the technical details of the website operation, that was assigned to an aid, who evidently screwed up.

The problem here is that Joey himself made made such racket with a false accusation. Not the first or last blatantly false accusation coming from little Joey's lips, but it was so clearly proved false. It should have been clear to them at the very beginning.

17. And how much of these lies...
actually may have contributed to Lamont sympathesizers and on-the-fence voters who may have been turned off and switched to LIEberman. After all, the MSM was full force in LIEberman's corner, rehashing and repeating lie after lie in LIEberman's favor. Therefore, many of you are right: they all owe Lamont a great, fat apology, not to mention how unfair and imbalance their coverage of Lamont has been in general.

I guess I won't be holding my breath...
