Have you donated to the DCCC this year?
The "Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee" has the mission of getting Democrats elected to the US House of Representatives.

I donated to them today for my first time this year. I gave them $50.

1. Nope!
And I told them to quit calling me. I'll only support Dems of my choice, directly.

2. If I was legally allowed to donate
I'd tell them they wouldn't squat until they butt out of primary races and stop trying to crush progressive challengers

10. Some primaries aren't until September.
Do you want the DCCC to only give money later than that?

13. Considering the fact they said, "If I was legally able to..."
It don't sound like September will make a difference.

3. No
And if they provide a postage paid envelope, I return it to them with the message that I will support directly progressive candidates of my choice, e.g. Russ Feingold, Ned Lamont, Jonathan Tasini, etc.

6. If you're going to send that message
You should send it to the DSCC, which has the mission of electing Democrats to the senate.

The DCCC's mission is electing Democrats to to House of Reps.

It all goes to DFA, DNC, and People for the American Way.

AND individual progressive candidates around the country.....

I donated to both this year.

Regarding the DNC, I bought a "Democracy Bond" (I signed up for automatic monthly donations.)

19. The DNC does not choose candidates.
The DCCC has gone into races with viable
dem primary candidates and strangled their
campaigns, with money, threats and intimidation.

28. Read up on the Christine Cegelis vs. Tammy Duckworth race
That race caused a great deal of anger at the DCCC by those who supported Cegelis.

11. No. Nor do I plan to.
Instead, I'm contributing to four congressional campaigns in my own state.

I'm through contributing to the national congressional and senate election campaigns. They attach too many strings to their funds. Look how Amy Klobuchar in MN stopped criticizing the Iraq war.

16. You have a point for people who aren't rich (including me.)
I'm not rich. It makes sense for me to put the majority of my campaign donations into indiviual races where there is a limit of $2,100 than into the DCCC, which has a limit of $26,700.

If I were rich, then I would give $26,700 to the DCCC.

If a rich person is reading this, please give a big donation to the DCCC.

Not as long as they pick sides in primaries, where I might be supporting a candidate that they are working against. I prefer to donate to individual candidates.
