Bush gets 'bump' in security rating as a result of thwarting.... but...
..Majority Wants To See Dems Win Midterms according to brand new poll (conducted after the terror thwarting)

According to Newsweek http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060812/nysa012.html?.v=49

(Shrub went up 11 points in his security rating, to 55%, since they polled in May.. but most other numbers are still pretty dismal for R-thugs )

-snip-

With Congressional elections three months away, 53 percent of those polled say they'd like to see the Democrats win enough seats to take over Congress; 34 percent say they'd like to see the Republicans keep control.

-snip-

When asked which political party would do a better job handling the war against terrorism at home and abroad, 44 percent of Americans say they trust the Republicans to do a better job; 39 percent say they trust the Democrats. But 45 percent trust the Democrats to do a better job at handling the situation in Iraq; 39 percent trust the Republicans.

-snip-

For this Newsweek Poll, Princeton Survey Research Associates International interviewed 1,001 adults aged 18 and older on August 10-11, 2006. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points. This poll is part of the August 21-28 double issue of Newsweek (on newsstands Monday, August 14).

The poll also contains a few "post Lieberman loss" questions.

1. What exactly was thwarted?
I've heard nothing but this great "Thwarting of the Enemy" crap for the last three days! What the hell was thwarted? Would The Commander and Thief have us believe that these "terrorists" would board the plane with their bottles of liquid, and calmly manufacture a bomb on their tray tables? NEVER HAPPEN!!!!

This is nothing more than a stunt to delay the inevitable! The Re pigs are running scared! They know that they have no chance in hell of winning on the war or anything else that they won on in 2002, or 2004! Bush STILL hasn't captured Bin Laden, and I don't think he even wants to! He needs his "boogie man" to threaten the "Sheople" with! A 6'5" man with a long flowing beard, riding around on a donkey with a dialysis machine just can't be that hard to find, even in Pakistan!

A month or so ago we got this same grand posturing, and it turned out to be a bunch of whack-jobs living together in a warehouse, spouting a bunch of bullshit! They had no more chance of attacking America than I do of laying a speckled egg! I think Bush is putting too much faith in his ability to impress us with his wild tales of daring do! In three months all this will be forgotten and everybody will see him for the idiot we all know him to be! The Repigs are on the way out! It can't happen soon enough!:headbang:

3. Why on earth would Bush get any bump at all
as the result of the alleged foiling by British law enforcement and intelligence agencies of an alleged plot that had no connection to the U.S.? Fucking stupid people.

5. There's only one kind of bump Bush is interested in.
And there will always be a space in my parking lot.
