I have been under the impression that they were there and had to be pulled out so that shrub could "Shock and Awe" us.

If you know we were there, can you site a source that I could check out? Did David Kay or the other inspector(whose name escapes me) write a book?

3. Hans Blix. And Mohammed El-Baradei of the IAEA.
Inspectors were warned to flee because we were invading.

Blix was there almost till the end. March 7, 2003- Hans Blix reports Iraq has accelerated its cooperation, but inspectors need more time to verify Iraq's compliance.

4. Yes, the U.S. "advised" them to leave...

and, surprisingly, from Fox News...

...that's just a couple. Google it, there are plenty of links.

5. I thought they were. Thanks for the google advice...
I'm arguing with a right winger that said that I was inaccurate about the weapons inspectors. I think I'll send him the faux one...he'll believe that. Your right, lots of info out there.

6. What you'll be able to show your right-winger:
1) The weapons inspectors dodn't find the smoking gun they were sent to find...and they openly said so.

2) The U.S. "advised" them to leave Iraq (as in "I'd "advise" you leave if you're picky about your limbs being attached to your torso").

3) The inspectors left, under protest.

Those are the facts and you won't have any problem finding proof of that.

7. These right wingers are tough nuts to crack.
I live in Tn., very red area. Truthfully, arguing with them has been a wonderful mental exercise and I have enjoyed destroying them with facts. They tend to make stuff up at a moment's notice and I am forever putting those "facts" to bed.

8. They're sure to bring up those 500 munitions found containing anthrax.
Be ready for that.

1) Those were pre-1991 munitions.

2) U.N. weapons inspectors have stated that they are degraded to the point that we all have chemicals under our kitchen sinks that pose more of a danger.

3) We knew Iraq had these and these WEREN'T the WMD that we were alleging they had.

4) The administration has admitted all of this.

9. Another book about it is "Iraq Confidential" by Scott Ritter.
Ritter helped lead the UN weapons inspections after the 1991 Gulf War. He led inspections between '91 and '98, and surprise, surprise...found nothing.

10. The Busholini Regime couldn't wait for Hans Blix to
complete his task because no WMDs would have been found. There would have been no reason to invade Iraq. Iraq would have the sanctions lifted and begin selling oil via Euros. The lie about WMDs was bolstered by the US Corp Media, especially Judith Miller of the NYT.
