Every single Dem that gets TV face time between now and Nov MUST
hammer home the basic simple message that Iraq never had anything to do with fighting terrorism.

And at least for the next 2-3 weeks they should also hammer home that dumping all that lipbalm and water in the garbage had absolutely nothing to do with keeping airline passengers safer.

2. Good luck with that! Call me skeptical, but getting Dems to openly
...decry Lieberman's decision to run as an Independent is already like pulling teeth!

I thought the rather lukewarm if not outright cool reception among the Connecticut Democrats the eve of Lamont's win was pretty telling: they don't like change, and they don't like Lamont.

And the fact that "prominent" Dodd wouldn't even say that he'd urge Lieberman to drop his Independent bid run, kinda proves what Progressives have been saying all along: that there isn't a difference between Repubs and Democrats anymore---NOT when it matters!

3. Democrats need foreign policy in the Middle East
We can no longer poor money into Israel and Iraq. We need robust Middle East policy touched on both Scowcroft and Pres. Carter on their latest OPED. We cannot allow this type of foreign policy towards Middle East to continue the way it is now.
