Video: Moon says he's poured millions into U.S. to shape destiny

it's now BILLIONS

http://iapprovethismessiah.com/2006/08/video-moon-says-hes-poured-millions.html

Washington Times owner and conservative benefactor Rev. Sun Myung Moon has dumped a fortune in foreign mystery money into the Capitol. Here he is speaking on CSPAN in 1984 about what he describes as a vast project to influence the destiny of the United States. That was years ago, of course; Moon has now injected as much as $3 billion into the paper alone.

1. So...what does Moon believe in?
Is he a warmonger? Does he subscribe to the PNAC newsletter?

He's sinking billions into making something happen.

To which religions or philosophies does he subscribe?

(On another note: If he's such a Bushbacker--why would he
have published that story--during Bush I--about young, male
prostitutes being shuttled in and out of the White House?
Was that a shot across the BFEE's bow?)

3. He thinks he is the messiah
He is one sick puppy - and he's bought quite a bit of power.

Moonstruck - from City Paper
Excerpt:
Say you're a congressman who's just been caught attending an event where a notorious cult leader declares himself the Messiah. You say you were fooled into attending the "awards dinner," but you learn that the Messiah has been going from church to church having Christian crosses torn down and offering poor deacons gold watches to switch saviors from Jesus to himself.

4. He believes he is God. I think the nightmare of Moon ends when he dies,
which hopefully is soon. He's just a megalomaniac. He did purchase Poppy though.

5. Wish you were right but Moon has built a political
machine that will go on well after he dies.

he is insinuating his organization into the political structures of countries all over the world. It is really a huge national security story but most people won't take the time to learn about it.

9. You're absolutely right.
He's got the Unification Church and its many related organizations as well as News World Communicatins to carry on his mission. He's a criminal and a cult leader with lots of money and lots of influence - and that makes him scary as hell.

10. fact is, when he dies it will be worse because
there will not be Moon as the face with his past baggage which some still find offensive. His wife and third son Hyun Jin, who they say Moon has already passed "spiritual power" to, will be the face and no one will see or understand it.

This is his final gambit, all his efforts rolled into the big one.

8. fyi leesa he doesn't think he is God he actually believes that when
Edited on Sat Aug-12-06 01:05 AM by Cell Whitman
God and he sit back and look at what he(Moon) has accomplished that God will admit that he(Moon) is "better than Heavenly Father(God)."

Moon has built a temple in Korea which they claim is a replica of God's temple in Heaven and they claim it will be the place God and Moon will commune back and forth and rule the world. Sounds insane? Well it is, except that he has created his own UN which he will house in the temple. Moon's UN, which is just getting started, has already met with Karziah in Afghanistan,(gave him an award) the president of India and countless other world leaders. They have put on a "peace" conference in Israel which Abass endorsed. I have seen video of Arafat shortly before he died participating in Moon's "Holy Wine" ceremony in which Arafat was holding a picture of Moon and his wife.

Did you know we have a holiday to honor Moon? Google "parents' day Moon"

His organization is most definitely been involved in our nation's negotiations with North Korea at least since 1991. They claim they advise our State Department on the Middle East and Korea and I have many reasons to believe them.

That is a picture(look on the left) of Neil Bush sitting between the Speaker of the House of the Philippines who has made a proposal to theocratize the UN on Moon's behalf and Doug Joo the head of the Washington Times and that is Moon with his back to the camera at the head of the table. Bush helped Moon promote his "peace" UN in the Philippines and Taiwan. There were a total of two articles about it.

This is Jerry Falwell standing next to Moon. Jerry has helped Moon grow in stature and influence many times. Moon bailed Jerry out with a few million. The capture was taken from a Moon propaganda vid in Russia.

This is Chang Shik Yang, one of Moon top "priests", burying the cross in Israel under the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (the current name of the Unification Church) flag.

This is Gerald Ford and George Bush selling the name and honor of the presidency of the United States to Moon in 1996. Notice the emblem on the podium? Now look again at the flag under which the cross is being buried above. yes they are the same.

6. There are dozens of links which will educate you on him in the post
at Gorenfeld's. It is a huge story, Moon is a theocratic, homophobic, authoritarian right wing extremist who has been manipulating our political structure for 35 years. He has more to do with the direction of the nation politically than anyone. He has outspent Scaife bringing the right wing to power in the country.

I suggest you check into him. Most don't have the time or patience that is why he has gotten away with it. Without Moon's billions creating the political environment Bush isn't president.

If you know about this:

(On another note: If he's such a Bushbacker--why would he

Was that a shot across the BFEE's bow?)

I am surprised you asked the other questions. That tale is as minor to the Moon story as the crowning is, but that seems to be all most people know or look into for some reason. That story actually has more to with his money but it is a very long story as to why.

but do check out the links... read that post...

Dangerous crazy fuck bunch, the moonies. I suggest you do a search and read about them. Moon is a dangerous, dangerous dude. He makes Falwell and Robertson look tame in comparison.

2. Can you imagine the firestorm that same assertion would cause
if, say, George Soros made it instead of this RW a**hole? The Republicans would be screaming about it, FoxNews would be covering it 24/7 in "crisis mode", it would be on the front page of every newspaper in the country, and every talk-radio hate-jock would be spewing it out as their main venom for days.

Geeeeeeeeez............

15. Democrats need to run campaign ads with this lunatic in it
Seriously, he was born in South Korea, perhaps he's related to that lunatic Kim Il Jong of North Korea.

And from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Times

The Washington Times<1> is a daily broadsheet newspaper published in Washington, D.C., United States.

As of March 31, 2005, the Times had an average daily circulation of 103,017, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations, about one-seventh of its chief competitor, the Washington Post.

The Times was founded in 1982 by Sun Myung Moon, leader of the Unification Church and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, to be a conservative alternative to the larger and mainstream Washington Post. To this day, it is widely perceived as maintaining a right-leaning editorial stance. By 2002, the Unification Church had spent about $1.7 billion in subsidies for the Times.

Throughout its existence the Times has portrayed itself a rival of the Post. Most established journalists <2> (apart from conservative columnists) do not view the Times positively<3> and would not wish to work there in light of its ownership,<4> underlying religious posture (see below), and potentially negative<5> impact on a journalist's career. Nonetheless, committed American conservatives have greatly welcomed the publication as an alternative to mainstream news.

Let's just assume they have a subscription of 100,000 plus perhaps on any give day another 25k buy a copy adhoc. And I'll even assume they print the paper everyday

Let's do some math here:

125,000
365 (number of days in the year
+++++++++++
4,562,500
24 (years in operation)
+++++++++++
109,500,000 (estimated number of papers sold by the Washington Times since they started

Ok, we know that Moon has spent $1,700,000,000 on the paper SOOOOOO

1,700,000,000/109,500,000 means Moon has spent about $15 to make EACH PAPER!!!!

Of course we have advertisers that help offset the cost but then again you have salaries to pay too, plus supplies to print the paper and deliver the paper.

So next time you go to DC, just pick up a copy of the Times (no, you don't have to buy it) and realize that Moon spent about $15 for that piece of crap unworthy to line my cat's litterbox right there in your hands

18. damn - quite the math and no he isn't related to Kim Jong Il
but he has helped keep NK afloat since about 1991 that we know of... I believe he was actually born in Nk.

Moon named the six countries now involved in the six party talks over the Nk nuke issue back in 70s as the six God was bringing together for the final "battle" and his organization is most certainly involved in the current negotiations if only ina facilitating role.

http://www.consortiumnews.com/2001/031001a.html

ps, they have averaged a lot less than 125,000 circulation from what I understand.

Of course the purpose of the paper was to move the nation right and give Moon's org HUGE face around the world...

20. double damn LynneSin
the 1.7 billion was in the WP a couple years ago, some have gone as high as 4 billion on the paper. Not sure of the Sunday circulation but when they got to 103,000 they were bragging they were one of the fastest growing papers in the country. (that is because all others were dropping in cir and they had such a small circ that any jump looked good.) They were caught years ago dumping the papers in the dumpster also.

their advertising isn't much...

From “Moonstruck: The Reverend and his Newspaper” by Ann Louise Bardach, an article that was originally to have appeared in Vanity Fair in 1992 but was killed. The article finally saw print in 2004 when included in the book Killed, Great Journalism Too Hot to Print by David Wallis.

The reverend, who described himself as the Messiah, addressed some 200 staffers, wearing a beige suit and a snug-fitting silk shirt. According to one guest, Moon spoke in a "rapid fire, high pitched peals of oratorical Korean alternating with incomprehensible English," with both languages requiring the translation services of Moon's close ally, Times executive, Bo Hi Pak. Bristling with emotion while thumping the podium, he told a stunned audience that he had already poured a staggering $830 million into the Times. Moreover, he said that he personally raises the $7 million dollars each month needed to keep the paper afloat.

If Moon's figures are correct, they are a record-shattering sum for the newspaper business, surprising previous estimates of $35 million to $50 million annual losses for the paper. Time Life pulled the plug on the Washington Star when its losses hit $30 million while the Dallas Herald owners closed their doors after less than $20 million seeped into the red. ...The paper's most powerful booster, President Reagan, let it be known that he "reads the Times first thing every morning at breakfast." It became apparent that the Reagan administration was doing more than just reading the paper; the Times received numerous leaks and exclusives, including coveted interviews with Reagan. ......

Notably among the paper's(Washington Times) first staffers were the children of conservative luminaries, a group dubbed the "mini-neocons." They included John Podhoretz, whose parents Norman Podhoretz and Midge Dexter are veritable conservative institutions, Liz Kristol, Irving's daughter, Danny Wattenberg, son of Times columnist Ben, and Dawn Weyrich, daughter of conservative icon, Paul Weyrich....

Charlotte Hayes, who wrote a hilarious and snarky memoir in The New Republic entitled "I was Moonie Gossip Columnist," still laments the loss of the generous expense account she had at the paper. "This is on the Rev.," Hayes, a thoroughbred conservative, would tell sources as she lunged for meal checks. "The Times," she added drolly, "is a place for free market conservatives to escape the free market."

CJR described the paper as a "journalistic farm system"...

love the math Lynne....amazing...sure he had a lots of reasons for the paper but that is still amazing...

one last thing... the Wiki pages I have read on the Moon organization read like classic Moon propaganda. Anything negative is couched like Moon's people want it spun. I read one thing that said "perhaps" he funds the paper for political reasons. "PERHAPS"!!!! geez...

That paper can't be influencing too much. Other than the fact that some of those Moonies get regular air time on FAUX.

19. It isn't how many but who and what else it gives him
First off, I have read one thing that said it was about the 6th most quoted paper in the world. It is most definitely the voice of the Republican Party and all of them in the capitol read it.

Watch the video clip found here and listen to what james Whelan, the first WT editor who quit saying he had blood on his hands for helping moon gain credibility, says about a paper in Washington:
http://www.mediachannel.org/originals/moontranscript.shtml

Ever listen to Rush? Today may be different but he used to hardly EVER quote the national review...it was the WT most times.

the paper supplies much of the content to the Voice of America or has. keep in mind when it started there weren't a lot of things like Town hall and what not.

hell, the WT, after Lt. Gen. Daniel O. Graham asked Moon for his help to push Star Wars on the Reagan administration, played a huge role in us throwing money up that dead hogs ass.

Ever read this?
http://cellwhitman.blogspot.com/2004/10/independent-washington-times.html

But it also gave Moon huge face around the world which has allowed him to do his thing to the planet which he is doing now but no one understands or reads enough to look and learn about that so it is too late.
