Bush Retroactive War Crime Absolution - RECOMMEND every thread...
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 04:23 PM by Poll_Blind
...you see. This is...good lord...terribly important. If just another four of you pledge, as I do now, to recommend and kick every single thread on this topic, visitors to DU will have no chance of missing this information as chaff-news pushes it off the front pages.

Some links to recent threads:

WP: War Crimes Act Changes Would Reduce Threat Of Prosecution
Proposed War Crimes Act Protection For Bush Admn Would Apply Retroactively
Retroactive War Crime Protection Proposed - Don't get distracted, DU!
Bush is Trying to Scrap the War Crimes Act

Bush Administration Plan Would Reduce Prosecutions of War Crimes

"Retroactive War Crime Protection Proposed"

If there are any other links to threads that I've missed, and I'm sure there are, please post 'em in reply here.

This is one terror plot WE have to foil

6. Thank you for that reminder, tbyg52! From The Constitution....
...Article I, section 9:

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

What's all this ex post facto stuff mean, anyway, says the casual observer? It means no passing retroactive laws. And it's in The Constitution.

  Our Constitution.

Thanks again, tbyg52!
