Salazar (D-CO) supports Lieberman???
The word is out that Ken Salazar is supporting Jomentum in his Independent bid to keep his lucrative Senate seat. I can't find a link to a news story, but it was supposedly in the Rocky Mountain News, and David Sirota has it on his blog. Please say it ain't so...

1. The story I read,
dino Ken said he'd wait & see. I have not heard definitively that he does support Joe, but he is such a dino & a disappointment that I would not be surprised.

2. Salazar: I will back Lieberman in Connecticut
If Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., keeps to his plan to run for re-election as an independent, he will have the support of Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo., despite Lieberman’s defeat in the Democratic primary Tuesday by businessman Ned Lamont.

8. Concentrate on getting Lamont elected...
Show those Democrats in Congress supporting Lieberman they are wrong to not support the Democratic candidate...

Direct your action to getting Lamont elected. DOn't waste that energy excoriating folks whose mind you won't change.

The only way to change their mind is to win the election...

They are outing themselves. I say STOP all money from the democratic party going to them. Maybe next time we can vote in a legitimate democratic for their seats.

11. this won't hurt him
any votes he might lose on the left will be more than made up for in the middle

the largest voting group here in CO is registered independent

Salazar gave his word and now he's going to keep it

that kind of thing plays real well out here in Cowboyland.

13. I didn't vote for the idiot in the primary
I voted for Mike Miles (his opponent who's FAR more progressive than this DLC idiot)

But when the general came, I had to hold my nose and push for Salazar.

He's getting his ass reamed when he's up in 2010.

15. The Democrats, from Bill Clinton on down
needed to come down hard on Lieberman. And they needed to support Lamont enthusiastically. None of that "Joe Lieberman is a wonderful guy and by the way we support Ned Lamont." They have not so far with few exceptions. And now Salazar and I hear Landrieau to is defecting to the Lieberman camp. Just wonderful. Never has party unity been so important as for this election. And they don't have their act together. I wrote to Chris Dodd as he is my Senator. And also to my reps and other prominent Democrats. I urge all of you to please write to your Senators and Reps and tell them to get their act together. We can't allow Lieberman to control the party. He isn't in it anymore!
