Dick Cheney is a Nazi!!!!
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 12:10 AM by inthebrain
If he wants to compare us or make allusions that we are "terrorists"; I'm calling him on it!!!!

The Nazis pulled the same crap with their political oponents and they pulled some nasty crap because of it. I am very carefull when I use this comparrison and here it is VERY appropriate. If these guys wanna play Goebells, I say we call them on it.

Dick Cheney is a fucking Nazi piece of shit!!!!

Thanks HuskerDu for this quote;
'...the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.'

We should send out Cheney's statements (As well as any other wingnut making these claims)to liberal bloggers and the media everytime they pull this crap.

2. Methinks Darth Chenious must be "hoping" (and 'working') for a...
"New Reichstag Fire" these days (like he did for the PNAC's "New Pearl Habor"). That criminal traitor of the highest magnitude would do anything to keep himself and his cronies' in power.

3. I remember people on here ripping me because I said that
the neocons used Nazi tactics. Didn't even call them Nazi's.

The fact that they use Nazi tactics is unquestionable. Hell, they use fear like the terrorists. And they use Big Brother like the Soviets.

6. I remember some of that going on here
I don't recall the context.

Dick Cheney has made a few allusory statements like this in the past. I remember the few times he left his bunker in the 04 election him doing the same thing. Fact is that these punks have their waterboys in the media who say it outright. It's no secret that the RNC is dishing these same points to the administration and the media.

It's long past time we called them on it. We have much better ground to back up the accusation whereas they will have a hard time explaining their tactics.

In this scenerio, it fits like a glove. I certainly don't expect this to be the worst of it, as the uglyness in this campaign will trump 04.

4. Yes, he's truly a fascist-and I'm positive sympathized with Hitler's views
as so many republicans do...but will always deny it publicly.

They like Hitler are absolutely corporate and social fascist!

5. It's Classic Nazi Technique
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 11:43 PM by rwenos
There are two Nazi techniques at use in Cheney's (and the Pub Spin Machine's) political rhetoric.

The first is the classic "Big Lie" technique, revealed by Hitler himself in Mein Kampf. I'm paraphrasing: "The people can always be influenced by a big lie, because they themselves lie in little things in their own lives. So they cannot even comprehend that a really big lie could be told to them, and will generally agree with any big lie that is presented to them, if argued with passion and there is no credible figure to contradict it."

The second technique was Goebbels' (again paraphrasing): "State a policy, commit troops in the field, and then accuse anyone who does not agree of lack of patriotism. The rest of the people will hound the critics off the public stage."

These Fascist techniques have been used with astounding success since the stolen election of 2000.

Just think of the examples. . . .

7. That should be sent to every liberal blogger
on the net along with Cheney's recent and past statements. These pricks are not going down w/o a fight, a real ugly fight.

I had read enough in the 04 elections, from right wing loonies, claiming that if Kerry won, they were taking this fight to the streets. These people make simialar statements all the time and claim they are "only joking".

I suggest they tell that to Timothy McVeigh's victims.

8. Here is (most of ) that quote. It is actually from Herman
Goering.

'...the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.'

11. You are welcome!
I find that we have our fellow liberals, so I try to work on the cons. Cons distrust gov't at their core (supposedly) so I like to pile on reasons to mistrust this administration.

12. Thanks! "Big Lie" Quotation
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 12:34 AM by rwenos
"The sound principle that the magnitude of a lie always contains a certain factor of credibility since the great masses of the people in the very bottom of their hearts tend to be corrupted rather than consciously and purposely evil, and that therefore, in view of the primitive simplicity of their minds, they more easily fall a victim to a big lie than to a little one, since they themselves lie in little things, but would be ashamed of lies that were too big. Such a falsehood will never enter their heads, and they will not be able to believe the possibility of such monstrous effrontery and infamous misrepresentations in others; even when enlightened on the subject, they will long doubt and waver, and continue to accept at least one of these causes as true.

"Therefore, something of even the most insolent lie will always remain and stick."

A. Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp. 231-232, Berlin (1924).

9/11?

Iraq War?

Iran?

Social Security?

These fascists are the masters of the big lie.

14. Exactly!
There are so many . . . and people are intuitively aware they're being conned too, which is why people love conspiracy theories.

For example: There seems to be some pretty credible evidence that the Air Force shot down Flight 93. So Cheney ordered it shot down, but the order was seven minutes late?

Pshaw.

18. Ken Mehlman this week.....
<<<<"America faces a critical question," Mehlman said in his prepared text. "Will we elect leaders who recognize we're at war and want to use every tool to win it, or politicians who would surrender important tools we need to win?"

If Democrats win control of Congress, Mehlman claimed that their leaders will stop the National Security Agency from eavesdropping on foreign terrorists and pursue impeachment of President Bush.>>>>

Follow that up with a "foiled terror plot" and the raising of the alert level.

15. Funny how the last 36 have worked out
1)Lieberman loses his primary.

2)We have Dick Cheney alluding that the left is in cahoots with Al Queda.

3) A terror plot is foiled in the UK

4) THe alert level goes up for the first time since the 04 elections.

These guys are taking a page right out of the Nazi/Orwell playbook.
