Cheney suggests that Lieberman lost might encourage "Al Qaeda" types
Folks, I just can' t belive how these people make this crap up? You think there are terrorists out there making tentative plans on the basis of who wins the Connecticut democratic primary.

And any voter out there that buys that one has to be mentalty hampered that I question whether they're capable of putting their shoes on the correct feet?

1. So is Cheney implying that Lieberman was...
...a patsy of Al Qaeda and, now that he's out, they'll be all pissed off? Joe should sue for libel.

before they brought up the negative spin. Fer chrissakes, the majority of the country feels the way Lamont supporters do! Enough with the fear!

No matter how low you think they have sunk, there is no end to it.

9-11 fearmongering has always worked for them, why should they not expect it to not work anymore?

28. I"m suprised Cheney didn't say another 9/11 will happen because
Joe Lieberman lost.

I mean that's the stunts they pull. "Oooooo we might be losing in the polls - let's go scare the people senseless"

9. Can't you just imagine it...?
SETTING: A cave somewhere along the Afghan/Pakistani border

AL-QAEDA #2: It's all ready, Osama! Our unstoppable plan to utterly destroy the infidel America is set to go. Shall I tell them to proceed?

OSAMA: For Allah's sake, no, #2! We can't attack now! Why, the Americans have...have...Joe Lieberman in the Senate!!! No, we must hold our fire. Only if the Americans are foolish enough to replace Lieberman will we be safe to proceed.

AL-QAEDA #2: Of course, Osama! What was I thinking? We'll just have to lay low and hope that someone defeats Lieberman in the primary. Only then can we launch our attack!

:eyes:

10. Cheney offered warm praise for Mr. Lieberman,
Mr. Cheney offered warm praise for Mr. Lieberman, who was his opponent for vice president in 2000, though he said he did not want his remarks to be construed as an endorsement of Mr. Lieberman.

He cast Mr. Lieberman’s loss in ominous terms, suggesting that it would hearten American terrorist enemies. Terrorists, he said, are “betting on the proposition that ultimately they can break the will of the American people in terms of our ability to stay in the fight and complete the task.

“And when we see the Democratic Party reject one of its own, a man they selected to be their vice presidential nominee just a few short years ago, it would seem to say a lot about the state the party is in today.”

VP is selected by the person who wins the Democratic Primary.

13. The Repubs are burying Joe with their support. He'll be their candidate
in the general election even if he's not on the (R) ticket.

But Joe thinks the number of Dems he needs to vote for him are going to go along with Bush/Cheney/Lieberman while they all bash the Dems? He is out of touch.

14. It's our backs going against the wall if this fails......
Cheney just basicly called all of us terrorists. THese pricks are taking a page from the Nazis rise to power. Think I'm being a little extreme in making that comparison?

Think again!!!!

For years they've been painting the left on the same canvas as folks like Al Queda. Meanwhile they constantly deride people for "hating America".

Time to fire back on that shit is now!!!!!

People are free to hate or love this country. It's not a requirement to participate in society. Claiming that those who are of the left are of the same who kill women and children is despicable.

These guys are not going down without a fight and this is surely a call out to right wing thugs to rough up the left.

15. Cheney said the same thing about Kerry....
Remember when Cheney asserted that a vote for Kerry was a vote for Al Queda?

Yup. Cheney pretty much stated that if Kerry was elected President, that terrorists
would show up on our front door-steps and kill all of us.

This fear tactic is nothing new. Cheney and the other evil minions use it when they
feel threatened.

They damn well better be threatened, because the 06 elections are going to spark an unprecedented upset. History will be made.

Cheney needs some new shtick. Growling into the camera, while making inane, trite comments--really isn't that exciting anymore.

Bastard.

20. Its a fucking Nazi tactic and it needs to be called out
don't let them get away with that shit this time. In this scenerio, comparing these idiots to Nazis is completely appropriate. This is the same thing as calling us Al Queda supporters and we should force that prick to eat his tactic.

It's also "buzzing" their right wing militia base.

18. would he say the same about Israel's war with Lebanon?
how crazy are these f'ing neocons???

he's trying to argue that a moderate Democrat's primary victory is encouraging Al Qaeda??? that's what he thinks Al Qaeda's "motivation" is???

we've pushed to the UN into putting sanctions on Iran ... when we did that in Iraq, perhaps more than a million innocent Iraqi civilians died as a result??? is cheney worried about "encouraging" Al Qaeda because of that little policy??? noooooooooo ...

and Israel is bombing the crap out of Lebanon ... whether you agree with the policy or not, could any sane person deny that this is "encouraging" Al Qaeda???

and our Iraq policy itself? cheney and bush have destroyed Iraq ... all they've achieved is a global increase in hatred for the US ... they haven't made us safer; they've put us all at much greater risk ...

and this jackass is worried about Ned Lamont???

Democrats should not let cheney get away with such lame allegations ... neocons are insane; it's time for Democrats to help Americans understand this ...

Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 11:25 PM by Renegade Six
only he is a tad bit late. A vote againt Lieberman as the VP and running-mate of my President seemed to do a good job of "encouraging" Al Qaeda types. Sadly, for the Dark One it is not 2000 anymore. Times have changed and but the circumstances have not. The Neocons and their allies have made our country less safe. Maybe if they would lead instead of projecting their faults on to us, the world wouldnt be on the verge of chaos.

edit. op error

30. Yes but a win..
... would have encouraged the "neocon" types. I'm a lot more worried about the neocons than I am terrorists. After all, they are responsible for almost as many deaths (our troops in Iraq) as the terrorist killed on 9-11. If they have their way, we'll lose twice as many Americans on a pointless war as we did then.

So no thanks Dick. You fucking waste of oxygen.

31. Lemme get this straight....
The majority of voters in the Connecticut Democratic Primary chose Ned Lamont over incubate Joe Lieberman.

George Bush less than a year after Bin Laden mastermind the attacks on this nation that killed thousands, says he "truly am not that concerned about him".

So which one encourages Al Qaeda?

so in other words we should expect more attacks if GOP loses in 06-08? \

To me it sounds only plausable that a 9-11 could only happen on a republican watch.
