They chose John Sununu over Bob Smith in 2002 and nothing was extreme or wrong about that.

They campaigned their ass off for Pat Toomey in 2004 over Arlen Specter and came within a percent or two of defeating him. Nothing wrong there.

They are heavily backing Laffey over Chafee, but hey, thats what the RINO gets.

Lamont knocks off Lieberman in the greatest political upset since Wellstone knocked off Rudy Boschwitz and its immediately spun as political extremism at its finest.

Wow...

1. There is a difference
The rethugs didn't position those races as a national referendum as the Lieberman / Lamont contest has been.
