1. I'm not hearing that they are loving it
I constantly hear that they are scared shitless on every single phone call they call in to Cspan or Air America.

THey don't know whether to back Lieberman or their own Republican candidate who has no shot.

11. The RNC is telling voters
to ditch the Republican candiate in CT and support Lieberman. That guy was polling at 9% and Mehlman refused to tell people to back him on Hardball.

This is so wonderful to watch.

5. After every primary, in every major election I've ever seen,
the republicans absolutely love the candidate chosen by the Democratic Party. It couldn't have better worked into their election strategy. They loved that we were going to run Dean, who was too anti-war to win. Until they were even more delighted that we ran Kerry instead, who was too pro-war to win. It's just so obvious, they went to the floor trying to save Joe; we know who they wanted to win.

Post.

They think that if Lieberman looses then Rove gets a few % more of Democratic Base.

They liked the wedges and the patsies.

You bet they are loving this.

9. My response I'm going to email
Mike Allen's analysis seems like it came from Ann Coulter's diary or Shaun Hannity's foaming mouth. Bottom line is that the VOTERS of Connecticut made a decision; not pundits, not talking heads, but average Democrats constituents and any attempt to undermine their choice insults democracy itself. Their choice wasn't based on liberal ideology but common sense and pragmatics. They want a Senator who is going to stand up against the status quo where: oil companies are writing energy legislation, lobbyists and special interests rule the day, and any criticism of the Iraq war is branded as being anti-security. (Tell the latter to 60% of Americans). When Democrats lend their names to this political stagnation, they cease to be bipartisan for the greater good but guardians of an touch governing style. Sadly, I see a media elite that is equally out of touch, resorting to an out of date analysis in which a candidate has to be labeled somewhere on the straight line of the political spectrum. However, when you guys get your head out of the sand you will see a growing alliance of voters who may differ on a few issues, but overall just want change and the ability to movie this country forward. The future of the Democrats is one of populism, where figures such as General Wesley Clark, John Edwards, and Governor Brian Schweitzer have a home and voice. You will also find that some of the “left’s” emerging stars and political candidates are military veterans or former Republicans. However, the difference between them and Lieberman isn’t one of ideology but of simply STANDING UP. This primary was about people power and democracy at its most basic foundations. Lieberman thought he was entitled to that seat as if claiming a divine right or some noble heritage. However, his loss fires a shot to the heart of D.C. where staying the course at home and abroad is no longer acceptable.

8. All day long
various Repub spokespersons have been talking about what a grave mistake the voting Democrats in Connecticut made last night. Even so far as to say that the Democrats will lose a seat in the Senate. Shouldn't they be dancing in the streets?

They are so pathetically transparent.
