What is the effect of Lieberman's loss on Bill Clinton's influence?
Clinton campaigned for Lieberman, appeared in his ads and robo-calls, and Lieberman still loses.

Is Clinton becoming irrelevant?

1. I don't think it will have any influence at all
Bill Clinton is still very popular; people remember what the economy was like under him.

3. Not among Republicans
For them, the power of the Clenis is the reason for all the world's woes

5. I don't think so at all
Imagine how badly Lieberman would have done WITHOUT Big Dog's help?

The very fact that Lieberman had to run to Bill Clinton - after Lieberman trashed him as immoral - for help in pulling his bunnies out of the fire shows just how relevant Clinton still is.

9. I read somewhere that BC worked on Joe's first campaign,
and they've been friends for a very long time. I think it was just a friend doing a favor for a friend.

turned on Clinton so hatefully during the Senate hearings----
I still have to wonder.

10. Lieberman came back from a double digit deficit after Clinton...
... and lost by 3 or 4 points.

Clinton worked. Just wasn't enough.

No, I can't prove there was a Clinton bounce. But I can't prove there wasn't, either.

14. When Clinton came here to CT
a lot of the people who went to see him were all giddy and thrilled TO SEE HIM. They couldn't care less about Lieberman. A reporter interviewed a woman that had been there when he gave his speech. She was asked if she was going to vote for Lieberman. The woman, who was an older Black woman said "Hell no! I just came here to see Bill Clinton." So love for Bill Clinton can be totally seperate from Lieberman (or anyone else).

17. I voted for Big Dog 2X , but I am dismayed
that Bill hasn't spoken out more for the Dems. in opposition to Bushco. IMO, until there is another Dem. POTUS, Bill Clinton IS the spokesmen for the Democratic Party. Only he is capable of presenting a united front against the Rethugs and being listened to by huge segments of the public. Only he can hold a press conference and actually have lots of coverage. IMO, he has failed miserably at that. Seems like he is still too involved in being palsy walsy with GHWBush and wanting to be liked.

18. Not irrevelant.......just covering all of the bases.....
Cause as soon as Bill had taken off his "stomping" shoes, Hillary wrote the check for Lamont.

Like I said, covering all of the bases.....as a tag team.

These are politicians, first and foremost!
