Judas Joe is a full on liar and I have the proof right here!
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 02:21 PM by fooj
Lieberman votes Dem 50% of the time. The GOP spin is that Judas Joe voted Dem as often as Kennedy. That's a total LIE! Kennedy's record shows 95% Dem vote. The MSM (per Rove one would assume) has been pushing this bullshit. I heard it myself on Hardball last evening. I thought it sounded a bit "off" and then I found this...

Here's the list of Democratic Senators which lists the percentage of times that they voted pro democratic interests. It's a ten month old list, but I'm sure you'll see the writing on the wall. It certainly explains alot, IMO.

<snip>
This update on Senate Dem voting adds the recent Roberts Supreme Court vote, the pro-gun vote of July 29, protecting gun manufacturers from civil liability actions, and the letter to Bush requesting that he not make a recess appointment of John Bolton to the U.N.
<snip>

How does YOUR senator rate as an authentic Democrat?

I can't get over the audacity of this imposter! Judas Joe has been a "mole" for a very long time, IMO. Look how many senators we have that vote UNDER 50%...it's unfrickinbelievable.

He rarely had a real challenger so he didn't have to campaign with a big war chest, then
how did he get so beholden to the lobbies like big pharmaceuticals?

7. Did you see how many senators we have under 50%?
It's apalling. I'd like to see a list of the Repubs voting record. I don't believe that any person should vote with a "rubber stamp"...IMO, that's not a democracy. However, it would be nice to see that ELECTED OFFICIALS are voting in the BEST interests of their constituents.

12. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable.
The one that surprised me the most was Biden. I'll be damned. You gotta give him credit for at least VOTING Dem 85% of the time. Not a bad percentage. Check out Hillary. If she was in my classroom she would be hanging on to a C- by the skin of her teeth.

And Harry Reid? Isn't he the MINORITY LEADER? At 65%? Ohhhhhh...please wake me from this nightmare!

mean it that way but calling a Jewish politician "Judas" is too loaded. A simple "traitor" would do just as well...

Looks like Lieberman spends most of his time "Not Voting".

30. the Patrick Henry Democratic Club of California
tracks both Democrats and Republicans on the bills, amendments, resolutions, nominees, etc., it deems important in establishing voting scores ...

I suspect that most Hill politicians monitor what the major scoring organizations keep score on ... I was surprised to see Blanche Lincoln's score so high in the OP's link ... there's hardly a key vote without seeing the names Landrieu, Lincoln, etc., amongst the GOP votes.

I think it would be safe to say that the Republicans have rarely strayed from the Bu$h-Cheney agenda. I've been disappointed in many of the votes from so-called 'moderate' Republicans, i.e. Snowe, Collins. The 2006 election has caused a few to stray over vote against Bu$h bills. I'm thinking about DeWine in Ohio. A nice handful of Republicans voted against the Medicare Rx fiasco bill in 2003. Unfortunately, too many Democrats voted with the Republicans to pass it, i.e. Feinstein. Otherwise, that bill would not have passed the Senate. That would have been a big defeat for Bu$h.

anyhoo, here's the link fwiw
http://patrickhenrythinktank.org/sen-score7.html

the main page
http://www.patrickhenrythinktank.org/

for 2005, per the PHDC, Lieberman scored -255 ... compared to Clinton's +35 ... and, Boxer's +152.5 ... Frist, in comparison, scored -487.5 ...

27. That is great info....
I keep a notebook beside my computer and I record most of the votes in the Senate so I wasn't surprised by how very bad our Dems are. Salazar, the Nelson twins, Landrieu....well, you see them. They're not dems....I am quite sure that they're threatened by the pugs and the WH.....either you vote with us or your state gets NO MONEY and you will NOT be elected. And I'm sure the pugs can direct Corporate $ to these DINOs.

I want these DINOs OUT....having to get a job and living in one bedroom apartments

32. We need to start targeting those with failing scores for their next
primary. It is time to recruit the best progressives we have in their states and start working now. I live in MA where we have two of the best so I am making this reccommendation for those of you in states where we need to challenge the DINOS.
