Why is the media ignoring Bush's 10-day Crawford vacation?
The past three days, it's been like a veil of silence--or a few million tons of whipped cream--have enveloped Crawford, Washington D.C., and the major media: George W. Is On Vacation. Ask No Further Questions.

Our Dear Leader is off taking "only" ten days of vacation ("ONLY!!!!!!!!!"), compared to his usual MONTH, as bombs continue to fall in Israel and Lebanon. God knows, his track record of going on vacation right before Bad Things Happen (i.e. 9/11 and Hurrican Katrina) is unenviable, especially since he was supposedly briefed about the worst-case scenarios of each. Yet nothing interferes with our Drooler-In-Chief's desire to clear brush and stomp around swinging his manhood in the hot, Texas wind.

Is no one going to hold this man accountable, besides Cindy Sheehan?

1. Why are they ignoring it?
Because it has become MSM 'tradition' to IGNORE everything this Idiot does, that's why. Besides, does it really matter whether he is officially on vacation or not? He's totally ineffective at accomplishing anything -- what's the dif if he DOESN'T do anything from Crawford, or DOESN'T do anything from the WH?

2. The media should spend more time talking about his vacation...
That way I could spend more time complaining about them covering his vacation instead of the real issues.

3. They're not ignoring it...
...they've been very careful to portray it as a "WORKING" vacation. He's workin'...because after all, bein' president is HARD WORK...he just happens to be working at the "Western White House," also known as the Crawford Pig Farm.

I was watching MSNBC and one of the talking heads addressed it like this:

"President Bush, on his ---PAUSE--- WORKING ---PAUSE--- vacation..."

Seriously. She took a very noticeable pause before and after the word "WORKING" so that NO ONE could POSSIBLY miss it.

7. There is a female that takes care of the mid-morning news
that has long, black, curly hair that occasionally fills in for Keith O. and has a subtle sense of humor and that comment sounds like her. Can't remember her name but she is one of the few I feel comfy with as a talkin' head.

9. Allison Stewart
And yes, she's not the typical talking head, and she's also not the one who leaned hard on the "working vacation" line.

5. The media clearly treats Cindy like a "nut".
They pay no attention to WHY she became an activist. For some incredible reason * always gets a pass. But, if this was Clinton, they would be on his a** 24/7. They seem to treat * as the child that he is. Always forgetting that we need a grown-up in the white house, to deal decisively with domestic and world problems.

10. That's one of the reasons for the vacations.
That stupid hay bale prop that reporters stand in front of is something like 7 miles from the estate. Cindy Sheehan has as much access to Buxh as the media while he's on retreat.

The other reason is he's a lazy ass president.
