Rahm Emanuel, on being Bush's "love child"
“This shows what blind loyalty to George Bush and being his love child means,” said Representative Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, the leader of the Democratic House Congressional campaign. “This is not about the war. It’s blind loyalty to Bush.”

1. looks like he and Dean made up and Rahm has seen the light.
since he and Hillary are close, that explains her scripted performance before Rummie and her growing anti-war position.

Rahm is no dummy. I don't trust him, but he is no dummy.

2. I'm actually surprised Rahm said that...
I see him as being protoypically DLC-ish. Good for him. Perhaps they can all see the writing on the wall now.

4. Me too....
I suspect for all those "finger in the air" Democrats who want to see which way the political winds are blowing before they take a position, the Ned Lamont Victory is a weather vane as to where they need to be politically in the fall.

This will only bring good things to the Democratic Party.

5. This has been my thought
It's been more than just the war. Joe has been so close to Bush for a while now. That's been the biggest issue for me.

6. Well....
... that is obvious to me, this election is a referendum on BUSH as much as anything - but I'm surprised to hear Emmanuel say it.

Maybe these folks are finally getting a clue :)
