3. I Have Been Following Van Os Thru TXSharon

On Kos. He often blogs there and is a real progressive with some very wonderful followers like Sharon. He is the Real Deal and deserves our support. He is a genuine Texan in the likes of Jim Hightower and Molly Ivan.

Does he blog here too? If not perhaps he can be encouraged to do so and plea his stance and case. He has raised some funds there on Kos and if he needs the help would do well to come over here as well. Just a suggestion.

FYI, David has an interesting story to tell about TX politics and taking it back. I have never been to Texas but their politics has been an interesting thing to follow. They seem to have been hi-jacked by the likes of Enron/Delay/Bush tactics that smell to high heaven and rob We The People blind.

I would love to see him write an article for the front page on DU! David is an honest, up front guy who could change what has happened in Texas and be part of the progressive movement to take our country back.

Well, I've been to Seattle (twice)! Seems to me you need to visit us! When you coming down? Texas is a terrific place with lots of great stuff to see and heck of a lot of history. Seriously you absolutely have to visit us someday (soon) and see the sights.

If it is a bucks down trip I am sure we can accommodate you on the poorman's tour, too. Just bring your pack & sleeping bag! I'll bet you can meet David he is very accessible and just a fine example of a human being.

12. Oh I Would LoveTo Visit!

I am at this time raising my 1 year old grandniece and she is a handful in my place, much less on the road, lol. Otherwise I would not be above sticking out my thumb and I would be GONE! The first place I would hit would be Camp Casey and then I would go to TX Sharon's town and help her find a new mobile home to replace her old one (with the cracked bathtub). I would work with her to help the Katrina re-settlers and of course I would go to meet Mr.Van Os.

Just dreamin' here, but I know the work you are doing must be hard in a red state with so many righties who have all the power. Because of the hardship I know you face, you TX Terrors (to Repugs) are such an inspiration to me!

Faith Chatham, posting at Texas Kaos:

This week, supporters in Belton & Temple, Lampasas and Lubbock fully funded billboards for their communities with David's "Big Oil I'm Coming After You" messages. Groups in San Antonio, New Braunsfels, Houston, and Corpus Christi are working toward funding boards. There are only a few more days left to raise the money in time to have the message on them by September 1. In Dallas, there is a board up on Harry Hines which the campaign rents for $1600 a month. It will cost an additional $3226.00 to keep David's message on this board.

Martha S. has been busy contacting folks in Denton county. This week she raised $1708.00 toward a board on I-35. We've identified a board which has over 135M cars past it a day for only $2000.00 a month. It will take an additional $1192.00 to finish paying production cost and the first months rent. We need this money before August 20th to have the message on the board by September 7. An additional $2000.00 will have to be paid by September 20th to keep the message on the board from October 8th to November 7th.

Outdoor advertising reinforces David's name in peoples's minds. With a small ad budget billboard with strong messages and great graphics are very effective in helping to build name recognition and association between the NAME and THE MESSAGE. David Van Os is THE ONLY CANDIDATE who fights for the people in this race. The graphics Sherry Snarko designed hit the ball straight into the park. Few Democratic candidates are spending money on advertising this election cycle. For many communities David Van Os' bill board will be the only Democratic message on an outdoor sign this election cycle. Outdoor reaches everyone. It doesn't discriminate between traditional Democratic voter, independent, sometimes voter, Republican. Many Republicans are planning to Vote Democratic this year. This billboard will help them REMEMBER the GOOD GUY WHO IS MAD AND FIGHTING to stop price gouging.
