7. Yeah, A Couple of Doses Already of: Joe-Venom...

What a negative jerk; for his part, every time I've heard him speak, Lamont has been gracious towards Lieberman and has never once campaigned dirty or slung insults--not even in return for same... and yet, right out of the Rove playbook, there's Joe standing there accusing Lamont of negative campaigning (especially in his concession speech).

That Republican tactic of accusing the Democrats of exactly what they themselves are most guilty of (and of which the Democrats are least guilty of) is so frigging confounding!

4. I was just thinking the same thing. Here a Joe, there a Joe,
everywhere a Joe, Joe. And he's coming off as a whiner.

5. Republican CSPAN callers are supporting Joe & Hank Johnson (GA-4th Dist.)
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 06:52 AM by CottonBear
which tells me that 1) Republicans would vote for Joe if he runs as an indepepndent in CT and 2.) huge numbers of Republican crossed over and voted in both the Democratic primary and primary runoff in GA (McKinney vs. Johnson.)

GA primary rules require one to vote the same party in both the primary and the runoff. Many voters cross over to vote against a candidate in another party rather than for one of their party's candidates. GA is very divided and, in many areas, there are only R or D candidates on the ballot. So, even if you are a Democrat, you may have to vote in the Republican primary in order to be able to vote at all in the primary and vice-versa. Cross-over Democratic voters voted agianst Ralph Reed even though his opposition, Casey Cagle, is an uber-conservative, white, fundy, Republican who is ideologically the same as Reed.
