1. Again, earlier she gave $10,000 to Lieberman
I'm not saying anything other than she's been supporting the likely winner...

3. She's been supporting the Party
She believed, like Boxer and Bayh, that Lieberman was better for the party. Now that he's lost, she, like Bayh, is clearly stating her allegiance--to the party, not to Lieberman.

4. So...
She gave money to her candidate of choice in the Primary, and now that the nominee has been chosen, like all Democrats should be doing, she is supporting that nominee...

2. There should be no doubt, but the neocons have done a masterful job
with her image. Led by NewsMax, who has created 90% of the slant against her. Most of the posts in this thread will say something uninformed, like she's playing both sides, or that she's "Slippery Hill" (a phrase which, given the history, should exclude anyone from calling themselves a Democrat for using).

5. What I keep saying about Hillary and "Murdoch's Money"..
... is that the joke is going to be on Rupert and the Rethugs in the end.

I think she knows how to store nuts for our Democratic squirrels like nobody else!! $$$$$

She's politically savvy and she knows what she's doing.. She's looking out for her fellow Democrats.

8. Murdoch
has powerful business interests in New York. Most businesscritters butter both sides of their bread. Check out Eisner, of Disney. In 2000 he donated the max to Gore, Bradley and Bush.

11. Thanks Joby...
I read an article about a year or so ago in Newsweek or one of those magazines.. where he claimed that he's not even a "political person".

He said that, "if truth be told, I'm just out for a buck"

I've always wondered then.. if he's not "political" why doesn't he stand back and take a look at the monster he created with Faux News.

And what kind of comments did he have on that movie (the name of it escapes me right now) that exposed how Faux hires, fires and treats their employees. (The film that Olbermann spoke about Faux in)

Just always puzzles me how he can say he's really not really into politics, that he doesn't make sure that disgusting station really is "Fair and Balanced"

15. FOx News was a shrewd business creation.
I don't really know if I believe that Murdoch isn't political. I've heard he's conservative. But that doesn't have to mean political. He's Australian, he may not even care about our politics.

But he made a shrewd business move. With so many conservative pundits declaring that the media was libral, there was a large group of conservatives just dying for their own media outlet. He provided it, thus creating a loyal consumer base. In addition, news channels are sponsor driven, and corporate America is very conservative, so he created, as Rush Limbaugh did, a product that would draw a greater share of advertisers than it's market share deserved.

Shrewd business, no matter what his politics are. He did a similar thing for sports. Whereas ESPN and the networks went after a respectable audience, trying hard not offend women or to pander to a stereotypical male audience, Murdoch went right after that audience. Fox sports is sexist, unabashedly "guy" oriented, and aimed right at the young, crude male audience who was getting bored of watching stuffy sports shows. Again, they captured a market that others were angering.

The producer of Fox News is Roger Ailes, Limbaugh's old producer, and the man behind a lot of the attacks on Clinton in 92. He's the one who gives FOX it's flavor. Murdock approves, but I don't know if it's for political or financial reasons. I'm sure he, like all the other MSM owners, likes the massive tax cuts the Republicans give them. That's the real reason they support the Repubs, not any ideological reasons.

6. Commit to this (or not).

IMO a much better choice for NY and the Nation. The Celebrity of H Clinton has not brought much results. Or maybe it was the policy. Hard to tell.

I don't live in NY.. but every family member and friend that I have that does live there, ADORES Hillary as their senator.

She's not my top pick for '08 (SaveElmer knows that.. )

But she's an incredible senator from everything I hear. I can't imagine NY'ers choosing any other Democrat over her.

17. I think that he can afford to return it
It would be worth it just to remove the taint by association with Fraulein Clinton. (Gawd, I love ticking off the DLC base.)

16. She has never "loved" the war. At best, she has supported the troops
She has been a vocal critic of the war and its handling, from her IWR speech until now. She criticized Bush's handling of the war while Kerry and Edwards were still supporting it, she called for a timetable around the same time as Murtha, and she called the IWR vote a mistake while most Senators were still supporting it. You've believed the Swiftboaters instead of the truth.

29. I think the fact
that she sent the check so soon after Lamont's primary victory may have been intended as a hint to Lieberman.

.... and she did.

So that makes her a woman of her word.

Not at all what you have accused her of. You should be ashamed of yourself for twisting the truth. But we all know what your agenda is and that that is not possible, and that is truly pathetic.
