Seeing how Lieberman had all the top endorsements in the primary
I wonder why so many DU'ers are somehow expecting the official backing of the Democratic Party to propel Lamont to victory in the general election.

Hasn't Ned Lamont just become the "establishment" candidate?

5. Republicans aren't happy tonight Dolstie buddy...
No way.

This win does nothing but unite the Democratic party.

It's a HUGE victory with more real "personal values" meaning than any other race in ages.

Look at what one of the pundits was saying to Chris Matthews tonight. This is MASSIVE!!

If Lieberman would have won, there would have been a giant collective sigh of relief from the Republican party.

They would've run with it; trying to claim that the war in Iraq is not a factor in elections.

-------They lost.

-------We won.

Bring on the endorsements!

8. Who's spinning?
If Lieberman would have won, all we'd hear from the talking heads and all the scuzball Republicans (Coulter, etc.) who endorsed Joe.. was that..

SEE !!! You can support Bush's war and STILL win elections.

That didn't happen and for the handful of t.v. yackers that are saying this win has major potential to unite the Democratic Party.. I think they FINALLY have a valid point.

I agree with everything you said...

I was saying this comment is spin:

"He didn't, but I'm sure a lot of Republicans are happy with the result No Republican could have beaten Lieberman."

The repukes are far from happy, sorry. :)

10. A Republican (unless it's Lieberman) won't beat Ned either. Have you
seen the polling? 40-40-13 Lamont-Lieberman-Schlesinger.

I leave it to you to guess which one(s) are the Republicans.

Get a clue, Schlesinger will not win. It will either be Lamont (probably) or Lieberman.

9. Hint: It wasn't the support of Clinton & Co. that caused Jomentum to lose.
Ned is Ned. Jomentum is now Joementum minus the Dem Party and its support.

It's not like the cloud around Joementum was due to being endorsed by leading Dems.

13. Joe shouldn't blow a chance for a cabinet post after the 2008 elections.
Just step down now and support the will of the people of CT.

15. Grapes sour, Dolstein?
I know you've been a big supporter of Lieberman on this board and I respect that. But Joe's time has come....and gone. Whatever his Party creds were, they are no longer.
