Question about CT Primary voting (party affiliation)
If one votes Dem in the Primary, could the same voter vote for the Independent candidate candidate in the General?

I do know there are some states where a voter in a Primary must vote the same Party in the General Election.

1. There is no state that makes people vote for the same
party in the general as the primary. You get one ballot with all the candidates on it in November.

You may be thinking of runoffs like in Georgia where people who voted in the Republican primary cannot vote in the Democratic runoff.

3. No, that's not required in CT or any state.
There are states where you can't vote in the primary unless you're a registered Dem, but you're not required to vote for the same candidate or party in the general.
