If Lieberman won it would be a Pyrrhic victory
Because, then he would have to explain afterwards how he was comfortable leveling charges of hacking and voter suppression with no evidence .( I am basing this post on my belief that the website went down due to technical incompetence, if that proves wrong , then this whole post can be disregarded)

We can also look at the media that was so happy to spread this unfounded rumor. Who would you say would be hurt the most by this reporting of political dirty tricks by one campaign AS THE VOTERS WERE VOTING?

IF lieberman wins, and IF there was no hacking, then the voters of Connecticut should WRITE IN Ned Lamont as he would have been the victim of a HORRIFIC political smear.

And Joe, the winner? No credibility whatsoever as anything: A Dem or a person.

1. If Joe wins, the Democrats of Connecticut
should support him 100% in the general election. Are you really willing to give up a seat that could mean the difference between controlling the agenda and not controlling the agenda just to make some kind of meaningless point?

2. I will make that decision when this whole "hacking" scandal shakes out
"a meaningless point?"

Don't we spend a lot of time and energy around here talking about the sanctity of elections? If JL was able to drive voters his way by making an outlandish accusation without proof or merit . . . oh wow, isn't that how we got into this Iraq mess in the first place? Maybe it's becoming a lot clearer why he was and is such a Bush supporter .

Republican domination of our government will do to our country and our world? The majority party controls EVERYTHING in congress. If the Democrats had controlled the Senate these last two years Alito and Roberts may not be on the Supreme Court. The massive tax cuts to the wealthy would not have happened. The list goes on and on.

Don't get me wrong , I despise Joe and I hope he loses but as long as he has a (D) next to his name on the ballot it would be foolish not support him in the general election. The old 'cut off your nose to spite your face' saying is appropriate here.

"meaningless point"? In the bigger scheme of things, absolutely. Punishing our country and the world to punish Joe is silly.

4. I don't want to see DINO Joe installed if he did it with his
own dirty tricks. I offered a viable solution - WRITE IN Lamont. He is a Democrat with Democratic positions and he deserves to win, especially in light of the possible slander by the Lieberman campaign.

To be clearer:

If it is ever the case that Lamont or a Lamont supporter hacked the Lieberman website, I hope they are tried and prosecuted to the fullest extent. This would be exactly analogous to the Republican phone jamming scheme in NH.( But, I really don't believe that is going to happen - if someone had those propensities, they would be working for the other side!R's)

vote FOR Roberts and Alito?

6. If Lieberman wins the primary
Then I will join Ned Lamont in his pledge to support the winner of the primary. Will I support Lieberman as much as I supported Lamont? Puh-leeze, but that's not the issue.

Lieberman, however, has failed and to this point refused to make the same pledge.

I make it again today, less than an hour before the polls close in Connecticut. Will Lieberman at last pledge the same?

party as much as he possibly could. I call this fouling your nest. I think he did it because he doesn't consider it his nest anymore. If Joe loses, he will become a Republican, in my opinion. Zell #2. Because we just could not accomodate "national security" because Joe is the only one in the world who understands national security.-
