"I vote for the policy - not the man." Rev. Al just said on Tweety. The
guest then said "I vote for the man."

I never could articulate what I knew was my thought process on this subject - until now.

I vote for the policy NOT the man! Right on Rev. AL!!!

2. I've been saying that for years and years
Character doesn't count because you can never be sure what you know about someone. Policy counts.

9. both count,
the issue is which counts more

policy can and does change MORE often than character

character may be harder to discern, but it is also less likely to morph

if u study the history (going back 20-30) years of many candidates positions, you will find they have changed DRASTICALLY in many cases

many pro-choicers were anything but, etc. etc.

i think both are important to most people. the issue is how much of each

and what issues (policies) one sees as litmus test. many see the abortion issue this way. many others see health care or war that way

3. Rev. Al
Has been an articulate spokesman for dems. for a long time. He gets it and will not back down from talking heads. As a union man I can only express regret at this firefighter they had on. BTW, did you notice the preponderance of lieberman supporters? These people are so transparent, tweety should be nicknamed GLASS.
