When Joe Loses
do you think he will bow out gracefully, much like he did in 2000 :sarcasm: or will he refuse to recognize the will of the CT voters?

12. Should he run as an Independent he will prove he is
against the Democratic party. Also establish how much of a suck up he is to his Personal issues, not the country's.

4. I'm sure it's quite confusing when your people tell you
the fix is in and then you lose anyway.

It will be fun to watch... unless the fix is in.

Why shouldn't they have a say?

18. It is called a primary. It is where we choose party candidates.
The people of Connecticut get to vote for whomever they choose in November. They will have a say. The question is why does Joe Lieberman pretend to be a Democrat?

13. Which would be disrespecting his party and the will of
the Democratic Party voters in their primary and further proof that he is an arrogant asshat who believes that the senate seat belongs to him and not to the people of the state of connecticut.

15. I believe
...that we will not find out the will of people of Connecticut until the general election.

Do you disagree? Why do you imply that Democratic party primary voters represent the entire state?

17. Why do you invent arguments for me I have not made?
Joe Lieberman is supposedly a member of the Democratic Party. That party is holding its primary today to select their candidate for the Senate seat. Mr. Lieberman is about to disrespect the party and those people who voted in the Democratic primary by choosing to run against the chosen Democratic candidate.

19. Here's what you said
he is an arrogant asshat who believes that the senate seat belongs to him and not to the people of the state of connecticut.

How exactly does running as an independent imply that the Senate seat belongs to him and not to the people of the state of Connecticut? I would say that running as an independent, where ALL of the voters of Connecticut have a say, is a far better indication of what the people of Connecticut want than the results of a party primary. Yes, it's true that by running as an independent Lieberman is disrespecting the members of the Democratic Party. However, it's quite clear to me that a large portion of the party does not respect Mr. Lieberman either so the feeling is mutual. If he loses, the sensible thing to do is for Lieberman to leave the party, run as an independent and see in November what the people of Connecticut really want.

I fail to see a problem with letting everyone in Connecticut weigh in on this issue.

9. Certain interests need Joe in the senate. They'll have time to get his
independent campaign in order.

10. I knew it
"Dan Gerstein, a Lieberman adviser, said it was too soon to say if the campaign might try to invalidate the primary results based on a charge of voter suppression."

But ultimately I think he'll be DeLay'd. ;)
