INCREDIBLE: Lieberman's Web Site Down for Non-Payment, Hacking Accused!
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 08:57 PM by Dems Will Win
Joenertia just made a huge mistake that we should trumpet till the cows come home from the pooling booth tomorrow.

HIS WEB SITE IS "DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE".

WHO PLANS MAINTENANCE ON A CAMPAIGN WEB SITE FOR ELECTION EVE???!?!?!

He didn't pay his bill. It's been down for 2 1/2 hours now...

TAKE A LOOK
http://www.joe2006.com

Here's what it says now:

Senator Lieberman's Campaign Website
This site is down for maintenance.
Please check back again soon.

Might have been bandwidth overage...

Here's more: http://nedlamont.com/blog/978/desperation

I post because Marion Steinfels is running around proclaiming that someone hacked her site. This isn’t the first time they haven’t paid their bills, it happened when the stupid bear-cub ad ran and Sean Smith bragged all the traffic (from people mocking the ad) crashed their site. Same notice.

But since the Hotline Blog ran with Marion’s story (sort of), I had to post this here because they are undoubtedly peddling the story to other outlets as well. Passing on a different screen shot than the one above, from after they paid their hosting fees.

This is so hilarious--we have to make it the talk of the water cooler in CT tomorrow!

We need to ask the media to ask Joe: why he is doing maintenance on Election Eve?

Laugh him out of office--the boob! And against our Internet-backed candidate.

SHOULDN'T THIS ONE GO ON THE HOME PAGE TO GET THE WORD OUT? REMEMBER TO HIT THE RECOMMEND LINK BELOW!

GO CONEDICUT!!

3. Well it is probably more simple than that...
Happened at a company I worked for once...they probably just forgot to pay the domain name registrant the $40 or so to renew their ownership of the name...

It's a lie. Lie... berman is his real name.

25. How...well, how do you say?...Almost Rove-ian...
"In 1986, just before a crucial debate in campaign, Rove claimed that his office had been bugged by the Democrats. <20>. The police and FBI investigated and discovered that bug's battery was so small that it needed to be changed every few hours, and the investigation was dropped. <21> Critics suspected Rove had bugged his own office to garner sympathy votes in the close governor's race. <22>

Something to consider...when you think about who he puts his lips on and hangs around with. :)

It's a sign that Liebermann's campaign has lost the people who know what they are doing. The people left are second string and the campaign is running on fumes.

Makes sense considering he doesn't have Dem volunteers and had to pay College Rethugs to do the work.

Final Version of Joe's Donors

by Matt Stoller, Tue Aug 08, 2006 at 01:10:30 AM EST

Pravin just emailed me the merged version, which is here. Seriously, this is awesome work. In about five hours, we collectively downloaded and sorted 14 separate FEC filings from Joe Lieberman and put them out for analysis. The total amount of high dollar money coming in for Joe over the last 15 days is slightly over $1.2 million.

Thanks Pravin, Dan, Ryan, and everyone else who put this together.

Now we can play with it.

60. I just now got a different message:
Very strange.

"UPDATE ON THE ATTACK ON THE LIEBERMAN CAMPAIGN WEBSITE

STATEMENT FROM SEAN SMITH: "For the past 24 hours the Friends for Joe Lieberman's website and email has been totally disrupted and disabled, we believe that this is the result of a coordinated attack by our political opponents. The campaign has notified the US Attorney and the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney and the campaign will be filing a formal complaint reflecting our concerns. The campaign has also notified the State Attorney General Dick Blumenthal for his review."

"We call on Ned Lamont to make an unqualified statement denouncing this kind of dirty campaign trick and to demand whoever is responsible to cease and desist immediately. Any attempt to suppress voter participation and undermine the voting process on Election Day is deplorable and has no place in our democracy."

After I clicked on the original listed above, http://www.joe2006.com, the url changed to http://server1.myhostcamp.com/suspended.page/

I bookmarked it (I don't know how to do a screen shot), but what does this mean??? They don't have the techies they need, are are they just bullshitting in desperation???

63. Lots of assumptions here, but:
Perhaps Rove is working for Leiberman in this campaign (no evidence).

Karl Rove is known in Texas for pulling the political stunt of bugging his own office and claiming his political opponents did it.

Perhaps Lieberman's staff is mounting a last-minute attempt to paint Lamont's "netroots" supporters as spoiled sports??

A possibility.

We will have to see what the evidence points to, but of course, if this is a political stunt, then the damage has already been done before any evidence comes out because TODAY is election day. That is why the timing of this makes me think of this old Karl Rove trick.
