10. Incumbents rarely lose by big margin
Name recognition. Monetary advantage. Comfort level among the voters. You really have to run an inept campaign to lose by double digits as an incumbent, in the general election and especially a primary.

Let's just focus on squeaking out wins of any type this year. We damn sure bitch when we lose the close ones.
