9. I've been denouncing Romanelli since this news first broke...
Any Green who accepts help from Santorum's band o' knuckle draggers isn't a Green in my book. A little snippet from my blog Van America talking about this:

"How the hell does siding with supporters of one of the most detestable human beings to ever set foot in the United States Senate help our cause? How the hell does using petitions that had obviously been negatively tampered help our cause? Most Democrats already see us as a tool for Republican uses. Why the hell would you be so god damn stupid as to feed directly into it?!! We should not be selling our fucking souls just to get on a ballot!

I agree wholeheartedly with ballot access and the ability that this country should have more choices to choose from on Election Day. And I’d love to see IRV (Instant Runoff Voting) brought into action nationwide, or in at least a handful of them namely my state Nevada. The problem is that we can’t accept money nor help in getting ballot signatures from those who actually like and follow this detestable little jackass Santorum. From any other people in that state and you wouldn’t find a single damn problem. But helping a man who compared homosexuality to bestiality is not something we should be doing.

Although I love my party and believe in the core values of what the Green party stands for, part of me is quietly hoping that the decision from the 3rd Circuit Court in PA doesn’t turn out in our favor. We cannot grow this party by making ourselves into a Republican pillow fluffer. We will never be anywhere close to respectable as a party if we let him win and become weaponry for equally detestable fucks like Sam Brownback in Kansas when they’re set for re-election. It’s time we boot Romanelli out of this race and let “Man-Dog Sex” Santorum crash and burn into the darkest pits of hell!"

10. Casey's lead evaporating
The best $66,000 the GOP ever spent. Cheaper than spending it on their own campaign, and more effective.
-------------
A major advertising push for the embattled Senator has preceded the poll boost Republicans so eagerly tout.

Republicans point to a clear cash advantage for Santorum, who by mid-July had raised over $20 million for his re-election bid. The number was double that raised by Democratic moderate Casey, who was left with just $5.2 million cash on hand to the Senator's $9.5.

Since the fundraising numbers were revealed, Republicans have consistently issued statements indicating Santorum was gaining on his challenger--some even declaring Casey's lead to be "evaporating."

11. What about Rendells little Santorum "delivers" for PA
speech? I think I'd be pretty pissed with Rendell. Why the dems in PA nominated someone like Casey, I'll never understand....oh wait...they wanted someone like Santorum on womens rights.

5. I saw this on the wire services
Casey Leads Sen. Santorum in Pa. Poll
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) _ The latest independent statewide poll shows Democratic challenger Bob Casey with a slight lead over Republican incumbent Rick Santorum in their hotly contested Senate race. The poll found 45 percent of the voters questioned supported Casey, the state treasurer, while 39 percent supported Santorum, the No. 3 Senate Republican.

7. slight lead?
Holy shit, they're going to steal this one too.

What the hell am I thinking? Of course they're going to steal it as they will across the country. They can't let the House or Senate fall into Democratic hands. Commander Bunnypants will have to answer for his crimes.

6. You haven't caught on?
Stories are planted about the race "tightening," and then the Rethug wins by a recount-proof margin...

8. That's exactly it.
That's their Modus Operandi. Even though the incumbent is sinking like a rock, when it gets towards the end, they make a sudden "comeback".

The "Comeback" Kid suddenly, miraculously, wins by a very small margin. Never mind that the exit polls show a HUGE variance between the results.

They've done this countless times. And it always works.

13. And that is why GOP activists BOUGHT two of the state's largest newspapers
a few months ago.

I warned at the time that stories of Santorum's remarkable comeback would start to appear.

The Dem money in this country has GOT to be directed at picking up available news sources when they come up for sale. The GOP actively seeks out media buys, both broadcast and print, while Dems sit by and let it happen, uncountered for over twenty years.

Cheap media polls are generally meant to influence public opinion- not reflect it- and despite the fact that this far right tactic has been exposed for years- people still get suckered by it.

Amazing.
