Colorado Republican Candidate Has WTF Gameplan For Middle East
Duncan Bremer, a Republican candidate vying to become the next representative of Colorado's 5th Congressional District has a unique answer to fighting Islamic terrorists: convert them to other religions.

"I'd prefer that they get converted to evangelical Christianity," Bremer said.

<snip>

I've been told that Ann Coulter was the first to offer this plan, immediately after 9/11.

1. Hot damn!!! That's all we need: more Christian wackos!
"There's an aspect of it that people are not willing to talk about, and I am -- its religious basis. ... Our best hope is that we actually convert them away from their religious fanatical basis," Bremer said.

He said that would best be accomplished by missionaries of various faiths.

"I'd prefer that they get converted to evangelical Christianity, but my point is that there is a religious battleground and our government is disabled from fighting on that battleground," Bremer said.

That's the ticket: convert them from Islamic fundamentalism to Christian fundamentalism. That'll solve all the problems! :eyes:

3. Wow, that'd be easy
"I'd prefer they all played hockey instead of soccer. And rode horses instead of camels."

Let's all vote for candidates who come up with solutions that have no chance whatsoever of happening, but make us feel superior to those who actually try to solve problems.

4. Colorado Springs
If we're lucky, he'll win the primary - he's probably the only Republican we'd have a chance of beating in that district.

5. actually
if he wins the primary, he'd probably win the seat. that area is home to focus on the family.

he could become a national hero of the right overnight. now that ralph reed has lost, the religious zealots have to channel their energy somewhere, right?

6. Maybe not - we've got a good candidate running there
Jay Fawcett - former Air Force lieutenant -

Colorado Springs is where the Air Force Academy is - Lots of retired military, too.

This Republican guy is so far out there, such a whacko, Fawcett might be able to pull off an upset.
