Who Is Nervous That Lucy Will Yank The Football?
All these polls and media articles make me wonder if somehow we aren't being set up once again for premature celebration, followed by despair.

I'm hoping that we will not be complacent or over confident for even one single day between now and November.

We should be fighting as if we're down by ten.

4. I totally agree.... Eyes on the prize every day between now and
election day in November.

At least we're all uneasy enough to keep our eyes on the football this time, instead of Lucy.

Greay post and analogy!

5. they stoled 3.2 million votes last time..
people will have challenge the observers that tell them their signatures are different there fore they cant vote..

if that happens to me i will ask him if he is a certified handwriting expert.. if he isn't i will place him under citizens arrest for disturbing the peace and violating my civil rights .. and make a federal civil rights case out of it..

i hope everyone else does the same

we need people to tell us how to do it legally.. i am sick of their shit

6. I am nervous too
There's a long time between now and election day. Even if the analyis is right it can't hurt to work even harder for an even bigger win. I think Tuesday's primary in CT will tell alot.

8. In our house
We're Democrats and Mets fans. We assume Lucy's going to yank the ball away. We'll believe a win after it's set in stone. Even then we don't relax.

I don't think the vote means a damn thing anymore. It is he that counts the votes, doncha know.

16. We haven't even reached the national ad cycle yet
Where Rove tries to scare the crap out of the country again. That won't begin until mid-September at the earliest, after almost all of the primaries are concluded.

This cycle favors us and we'll win, but everyone has to be prepared for a tightening of the generic congressional polls. Only natural in a polarized political climate. Neither party ever really leads by 10+ points in that type of thing, but the media will spin it as a GOP comeback.
