2. Those groups endorsements shift in importance from state to state.

A caucus is first on the agenda in Iowa, and those groups' strength there may not rival, or may eclipse, their strength in Nevada, SC, and NH, which follow Iowa closely on the calendar.

A strong Feingold finish in Iowa skews the predictions and may influence endorsements in succeeding states.

Also, endorsements are often withheld until candidates demonstrate electibility, or in deference to members' individual preferences.

I don't see any Democratic candidate locking up that many groups' endorsements before the first caucus. I think it will be a very split field.
