What I'm Up To...

So I left Wilmington yesterday where it was unbelievably hot. Ran and went swimming before leaving. Needed to swim b/c I was so hot from the run. But it felt good.

Jack finally got a haircut. His little head of white hair was way too long. When I took him to camp, the counselors - all female - said "Jack you got a haircut!" He said "you must be talking to someone else - Jack is at home." When I walked back, Jack was sitting in the middle of the table - the center of attn - which he really hates (wink wink).

We went to Storm Lake, IA so I could speak to the IA teachers. The response was great. Afterwards we flew to San Antonio. Ate on the plane of course. I had onion rings and pork chops - yum.

This morning I met w/ Congressman Gonzalez and his supporters, then spoke at a Dem fundraiser in San Antonio. We flew to Austin where I am at this minute. Just got off the phone with Jane at People Magazine. We talked about Elizabeth's book that is coming out soon.

Going to go running now - on a treadmill since its a thousand degrees outside. Then I go to a Dem party event, then a young professional's event. Then to dinner with Lance Armstrong and another friend. We'll be talking about cancer research, which is where Lance is spending most of his energy these days. Just wanted to let you know what I'm up to. Going to be blogging a lot more, so check back. See ya.

And he live chatted today with bloggers..http://blog.oneamericacommittee.com/story/2006/8/5/115040/3981;he let them know what was on his mind (when asked) before meeting with reporters about the ME situation. As some of us know, his foreign policy portfolio has grown a lot since he left the Senate, since he has the opportunity to be invited to hear and speak many places. He's going to China soon.

After being in NH today and yesterday he's on his way back to his lady Elizabeth and their babies (well, young kids, 8 and 6). Been married 29 years and one week tomorrow. Amazin', yet it is not for those 2. They are very tied to each other but you have to see them together and apart to know it.

I wish it it were 2008 and for an opportunity for him to compete with others, now, and there are many good candidates we like. But hopefully, we know we have to do the big work now.

I am so ready for a positive change for our country.

I noticed on your blog that the Edwards' spent less than $15 for their wedding bands which they still wear today. That is so sweet :loveya:

I try and post OAC awareness as much as I can here on DU, there's so much good going on with all our great Dem potentials for '08. I know I'll be giving OAC more time after the midterms. :bounce:
