Lieberman VOWS AGRESSIVE END to primary campaign
My fellow Oregonian also posted and linked to http://mydd.com/story/2006/8/5/122926/6385">Matt Stoller in the threads below, but I wanted to also link to an actual online article, with quotes from the horse's mouth himself. All accounts I have read indicate that Lieberman is not rolling over.

The WAPO article, and the recent NYTimes article is pure BS and spin:

http://www.norwalkadvocate.com/news/local/state/hc-04171424.apds.m0541.bc-ct--connaug04,0,4688642.story?track=rss">Lieberman vows aggressive end to primary campaign

Lieberman, a three-term senator who's seen his popularity plunge in part because his support for the Iraq war, is buying more radio and television time in the campaign's final days, but denied reports that he's abandoning other get-out-the vote efforts, such as phonebanking and voter canvassing.

"We're going to have more paid workers on Election Day, not even counting volunteers, than I've ever had in any campaign I've had before,"
said Lieberman, following a rally with a building trades union in Hartford. "All I can tell you is, we are focused on the most aggressive get-out-the-vote operation that I have ever had."

No resting on our laurels folks. Plenty of time for that on Wednesday.

1. The man has no shame, does he?
Look how quickly he "signed on" with this Rove bullshit. Those "College Rupubs" are nothing but paid thugs. Their behavior speaks volumes for what the Repub party has become. Does Joe really think that he's being sneaky? Once again, IMO, he underestimates the power of the people. What a pathetic excuse for a human being.

6. Physician, heal thyself
Lamont and his followers have been using Rovian tactics for months. In fact, that's why they will probably win. Lies and smears always trump the truth if people aren't made aware of what the truth is.

Hopefully Lieberman learned that and will be much better at stressing his bonafides as a moderate to liberal Democrat (albeit a hawk) .

3. Don't worry, Terre.
There are a couple of people who have made 2 statues. It's called "The Kiss Float". It's of Bush & Lieberman kissing. It's really hideous. They've been taking it to all of Lieberman's campaign stops.

I think they've vowed to hound him with it.

Somehow, with that Disgusting reminder, I don't think he'll win.

12. I've seen the float
on many occasions, though not in person. It is disgusting, but wasn't The Kiss itself exactly that, and isn't that the point of the float?

:)

11. Well, I am officially a Democrat!
Since I was registered as non affiliated I never got any of these calls. But I just checked my voice mail and I have one...but it was for for DeStefano. I expect that as November nears I will be getting more calls and more mail. The good thing about being non affiliated is I never had to deal with that stuff. Oh well, it will be worth it if Lamont wins.

15. Would his aggressive end to the campaign...
...include one Richard Goodstein?

Wonder if he's planning on funny stuff (ala Rove) on the phones.
