Where else will the Puritans ban...
...it?

Not just schools.

In restaurants, bars, shopping malls, streets, automobiles, beaches, bedrooms, Internet, stadiums, topless bars?

6. As Hubs asked : Which cleavage? Boobs, butt, both? Y'all
apparently can't imagine how some kids dress down here in hotweather land. Our 14 y/o neighbor looks amazingl;y like this, but with more skin showing:

4. Are they nuts?
Teenage boys have ALWAYS looked at teenage girls' chests, even when they were wearing buttoned up to the neck blouses that resembled baby bourkas. Heaven forbid they should have a decent looking female teacher. Boys don't start looking girls in the eyes until they're about 40...if then.

7. This is just asking for trouble
The way the rule is given, a simple v-neck is a "plunging neckline."

Some could (and probably will) even argue any hole for the head as being a "plunging neckline," since there is one part in the front lower than that on the sides.
Oh, I guess I just argued it.

8. i have to agree with this one.. i'm from texas, the last thing some young
guy needs to help him concentrate in school is a dick tease with her tits hang'n out.. and these days they really leave nothing to the imagionation..

before you flame me... there is no reason to show cleavage in school, no religious prostalasation and no sexual advertisement.. it isn't like the old days.. driving by the high school in El Paso i saw girls with their belly buttons showing because if her pants were cut any lower they would have been leggings and the bottom of their breasts were hanging out of a cut off tank top and the other half bouncing out the top.. i couldn't tell a quarter of them from the hookers on Dyer Blvd ....from what i can remember about school.. i didn't need the distraction, my grades were bad enough.
i am all for uniforms.. our educational system is going round and round the toilet and about to go down the hole. kids don't care about school because it is only a bullshit test.. and it has no significance in their lives at all.

school is not a place for a sexual fashion statement... what some of these girls are doing is akin to the proverbial male flasher in the park, but she is setting next to a guy with new white hot hormones raging through his veins.

give us guys a break.. it is sometimes just sexual harrasment.. 'look what i got you cant have..'

Wow, I guess the REAL reason for millenia of oppression of women is because they distract us!

13. i dont think telling children.. we are talking about children in school
here.. being allowed to expose quite a lot of skin to the opposite sex, who are actually 'suffering' from puberty.. i know i didn't enjoy having to watch Ruth Hussy bounce her boobs in math class.. the did make girl cover up after Ruth gave 18 boys syphlis...

didn't you know we were talking about children...

so you believe girls should dress like hookers* and tease the boys..

*i use the term for emphasis.. from personal experience, personal observation in TEXAS... i am not being flippant, i am stating a fact.. you cant tell them from prostitutes on Dyer Blvd.. and they are 16 and younger.. school is where you are supposed to learn, not advertise your body in a soup of horemones... so young adolescent boys still children, are supposed to deal with sexual sexual exposure.. and we are not talking about an inch of cleavage above a blouse... we are talking about push-up bras down to the nipples and deliberate sexual titillation of children..

it is not 'US' it is ...'children'... that are being sexually titillated .. so to speak.

16. Maybe if we worried a little less about what the kids were wearing
to school and more about actually educating them, I'd get someone at the drive thru at burger king that could actually make change...

11. Dress codes are pretty common
They measured our skirts in the 60's & 70's, this is just another aspect of that. I don't think there's anything wrong with teaching kids that not all clothing is appropriate at all times. It's actually one of the problems some folks have with getting a job, they really were never taught that most people won't hire a guy with his underwear hanging out or a girl with both ends exposed.

12. Times sure have changed haven't they. When I was ...
...in school (you know, back in the olden days) the worst problems were

Talking in class
Running in the hall
Chewing gum
And, to some extent, skipping class

15. Girls should just leave their evil breasts at home
That'd give them more room to carry around the heavy load of responsibility they have for the behavior and academic performance of their male classmates.

Sadly, I'm sure I need to add this: :sarcasm:
