1. Did you see the Lautenberg exchange?
In a fresh sign of trouble for embattled Sen. Joe Lieberman, a fellow lawmaker and campaign ally suggested Friday that the three-term Connecticut incumbent drop plans to run as an independent if he loses Tuesday's Democratic primary by a wide margin.

``I think he really has to take a look at what reality is,'' said New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who campaigned by Lieberman's side earlier this week.

Lautenberg also said he would switch his allegiance if anti-war challenger Ned Lamont prevails in the primary. Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee, trails his primary rival by double-digit margins in public and private polls heading into the campaign's final weekend.

12. I'm disappointed that Lautenberg campaigned for Traitor Joe.
I really respect that man (Lautenberg).

Well, at least he won't support Holy Joe if/when Lamont wins.

10. hmmm
whatever you are smoking, you had better lighten up. I have been making calls for Lamont for the last month and I have to say, for an incumbent to have so many undecided and leaning Ned's shows that he is in SERIOUS trouble. The polls aren't lying.

14. Just as long as CT voters aren't using those damnable touchscreens
Let's wait and see...but I think Lamont's got it in the bag otherwise.

6. The percentage of turnout will determine what old Joe does on
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 05:32 PM by CK_John
Wed. I think all the hype is a way to keeps Lamont supporters at home and get the pity voters out for old Joe. Lamont needs to get his folks to the polls before taking any victory laps.

13. Don't get too confident
Lamont certainly has the momentum but primaries are very unpredictable.
