Kudlow on CNBC has Annie Coulter, Peter Beinart supporting Harold Ford!
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 04:44 PM by KoKo01

Just now on Larry Kudlow's show. And he's got Peter Beinart and Larry Sabato on. He has four other guests so it's a BIG PANEL and he's trying to show that Across the WHOLE Political Spectrum "Harold Ford" is MY GUY i.e. "Kudlow's Guy."

Meanwhile he's dissing Dems who don't support his guy Joe Lieberman and Peter Beinart agrees saying he's just a really good Democrat.

Kudlow blamed Lieberman's demise on "Lefty Anti-War Dems" and Harold Ford sat there just soaking it all up while the panel of Rightists and a couple of DLC'ers cheered him on.

I have to admit...I think Harold Ford is a DINO...but he's all we've got so we have to hope he get's elected. But...I have no high hopes for him to do anthing but be a "Rupug Stealth Candidate."

1. That's how most Democratic politicians are in TN
They say their democratic and act like republics. I'm not real enthused by Ford but he's all we got.

2. Harold Ford went on Imus, dissed Dean, said he might have to step down.
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 05:31 PM by madfloridian
This is not something easily forgotten by many people. Nor should it be. There is no excuse for this, none at all. It made him look like a fool.

I am just using the source as it was the first in a search.

http://bennett.com/blog/index.php/archives/2005/06/10/harold-ford-gives-dean-a-whacking/

Poor ole Crazy Howie, everybody’s on his case. Now moderate Tennessean Harold Ford spanks his little bottom on the Imus show:

Imus: “On another note here, speaking of the Democratic Party, which you are a member of, how’s Howard Dean working for you?”

Rep. Harold Ford Jr.: “(Laughing) I won’t have him down so many times in Tennessee on the campaign trail with me. He has made some comments as of late that really speak to a lack of understanding I think, of the country, a lack of understanding of faith and values. I’m a Democrat and I’m a God fearing one. I grew up in church. Christianity is not reserved for white males. I think perhaps Governor Dean sometimes gets a little excited at the mouth, and says things that are simply not true. It may reach a point where if he can’t find a way to kind of control some of his comments, and temper his comments, it may get to the point where the party may need to look elsewhere for leadership, because he does not speak for me, and I know he does not speak for a majority of Democrats and I dare say Republicans in my home state. I know that other, even Senator Biden and others, have made some stronger comments about him. I look forward to having a chance to sit with him here in the next day or so. I think he’s going to be here in Capitol Hill a little later today to meet with us. I want to ask him directly. Can he contain himself in a lot of ways, and what is his thought process in a lot of these issues because it is not representative of where the party is.”

Is Dean one of Rove’s dirty tricks?"

This gave Republicans a field day. This is the kind of thing that made a lot of people very angry with him. It might have endeared him to a few, but most have better sense than that.

Who the hell is he to judge Dean, to meet with him, to tell him he might have to step down?

Who made him God? Who made him judge? How did he get so pious?

in the way in which he handled the "Civil War".

4. Can't tell the truth about Chairman Dean to Deaniacs
Remind me, Floridian, didn't Dean end up reversing what he said and doing damage control? (Yes, he did) And didn't you fly into a rage and accuse the DLC of bribing or threatening Dean? (Yes, you did)

5. Where are you getting that crap, Benchley.
Why don't you do a search. Why don't you read my journal?

Why don't you talk to Harold Ford who thinks he's in charge of the party and tell him he is hurting himself by doing that.

Telling Dean not to come to TN? How dare he.

BTW I see the Moose is taking a wee vacation. He is having the vapors because he says the Deaniacs are taking over the party. LOL

Go pick on someone else.

It would so much more fun to have arguments with you.

14. Ok, was that the San Antonio thingy? He was right again you know.
Have you watched the TV lately? Have you heard the generals admit about the civil war coming in Iraq?

Have you seen Dean on TV much lately? I did not think so.

Money is power, power talks. For now.

I may put up another post about the San Antonio interview. Oh, boy, was he right.

"Have you seen Dean on TV much lately? I did not think so."
So fucking what? It's not Dean's job to go on TV.

15. In fact, Bench, I just found the transcript again.
I am going to look for all the outraged comments against what he said. I am going to make a post just for you.

The DLC has made this party afraid to speak afraid to think afraid to take risks....and that has nearly killed us off.

I will dedicate the post to you.

Did I tell you Bull Moose was angry with us again?

Dean was 100% right in San Antonio. We are not winning this war at all.

17. Go ahead and look foolish
"Dean was 100% right in San Antonio."
Which is why Dean immediately began doing damage control.

the party, turning to corporation and leaving their constituents behind.

7. Who do you hate so much, Mr. Benchley
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 06:06 PM by KoKo01
that it comes through on ALL of your posts. When you aren't attacking you are cynical to such an extreme that it makes peoples' tempers get up. Is THAT your function...getting folks "tempers up?"

Why do you do this. You are one of the reasons DU got so many new subscribers as "Bob Boudelang." There was "Humor" (which most times "peaked" through) and insight in those posts you used to do that helped build this site.

What happened? Why are you so ANGRY at the Left Activists? (BTW...many of us are not the "Lefties" on ALL issues you paint us...yet on the few issues where we ARE LEFT you go at us constantly here in this Forum and others. Your friend "Wyldwolf and You" do a "Tag Team..Peep" operation to ridicule us and yet when asked questions you NEVER ANSWER which would help in promoting Democratic Underground Discussion...to understand WHERE YOU and
"Wyldwolf" come from....

I wish you could go back to your "old persona" and that we could get a better discussion on Issues going Between us. Discussion is what is so important.

"What happened? Why are you so ANGRY at the Left Activists?"
Becuase I don't like hypocrisy and fdshonesty.

"yet when asked questions you NEVER ANSWER "
Perhaps it's because I tire of being asked for the umpty-umphth time for proof that an antiSemitic loony like McKinney is an anti-Semitic loony, by people who have an aversaion to reality. Here's floridian pissing and moaning because Harold Ford dared to mention that Howard Dean fucked up...when Howard Dean fucked up.

When Howard Dean fucked up last fall, I caught the same sort of gibberish you're passing now. Itr was obvious to everyone with an IQ above double digits that Dean had fucked up, yet we were subjected to post after post from "Left Activists" demanding that all the rest of us pretend he hadn't and swear fealty to Dean. When Dean began doing damage control for his fuck up, it was an occasion for the "Left Activists" to heap abuse on the DLC, which had nothing to do with the incident.

You want to understand? Look in the fucking mirror.
