Dems will win house according to website
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 02:20 PM by Tiggeroshii
http://www.myelectionanalysis.com/ has predicted that the Democrats will win back the House 219-217. Does anybody know what districts he might be referring to as wins? Both Scott elliot and the fellow at http://electionpredictions.blogspot.com predict gains for the Dems but not enough to take back the house. Just curious. He doesn't offer much details for now, so if somebody could tell me what districts are most likely going to turn, I'd be very grateful.

1. My own district (FL-22) is really vulnerable ...
I'm expecting Clay Shaw to go down to Ron Klein.

4. No, but I'm a political junkie and this is my district...
Shaw won in 2004 with 63 percent of the vote against a total nonentity. He now faces the minority leader of the state senate, whose district is within House district 22, giving him immediate name recognition.

Additionally, this is a blue district -- occupying mostly Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, etc.) that went to Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.

Finally, Klein has raised just as much money as the incumbent, occasionally even besting Shaw's fundraising efforts in some quarters.

I'd almost say it's Klein's race to lose, except that Shaw is a 26-year veteran of the House, and that sort of incumbency provides quite a boost.

9. I hope he wins.
Check out his details. He includes your district as a Dem pickup. The guy is a competent poll watcher and political junky, but definitely no liberal.

7. I'm hoping that means the 219 part is OURS.
Not the 216 part.
