HUGE SURPRISE... AN EMAIL FROM COMCAST!!!

I just posted ANOTHER email I got, but then I got THIS one! My jaw dropped and I NEEDED to share it with you ALL! What is up?? I think I've become far too cynical, but I'll take what we can get!!!

Today Comcast - the nation's largest cable company - announced they would broadcast ImpeachPAC's TV ad criticizing Joe Lieberman in advance of Tuesday's primary in Connecticut.

There is one simple reason why they changed their minds - because HUNDREDS of you called Comcast's President, Brian Roberts, and politely asked Comcast to support the First Amendment.

YOU made the difference. THANK YOU!!!

Our ad was meant to have an impact, but some thought it was confusing. So we produced a shorter ad that packs a more direct punch.

It's called "Lie and Die" and you can watch it here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FV6Fbgp3J-s

The ad features lies by Bush, Cheney, and Lieberman. Each lie is separated by a photo of an Iraqi child who has died because of these lies. It then quotes John Kerry as he declares, "Our policy is not 'cut and run.' Their policy is 'lie and die.'"

And it concludes with a simple question about Joe Lieberman: "6 More Years?"

That's the choice Connecticut voters will make on Tuesday. And it will be a truly historic choice.

If you know any Connecticut Democratic voters, please forward this message to them and ask them to watch our ad - YOUR ad.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FV6Fbgp3J-s

Ask them if they want "6 More Years" of George Bush's single most important ally - Joe Lieberman.

If they can't decide, help them make the right choice. Because this vote won't affect only Connecticut - it will affect our nation and our whole world.

If you'd like to help us reach more Connecticut voters with our ad, please contribute here:

And if you live in or near Connecticut, please help Ned Lamont directly with his final push:

Thank you for all you do.

3. I like the ad, but believe Comcast is only doing it to worsen the feelings

Joe will have towards the Dem party, and that Kerry is being used as the symbol of the antiJoe Dems. Comcast must WANT to push Joe to run as an independent or switch parties.

It also appears that there is a coordinated campaign to target and undermine Kerry. Rumors have been flying about Reid, Clinton, Biden and Lieberman and their behind the scenes efforts. I didn't want to believe them - but, it's getting difficult to ignore them as more oddities pop up.

4. I Think It's A CYA Type Thing Myself & I Also Agree
that it is from the PAC. But the fact that it was emailed to me as a customer was a shock. I have NEVER seen Comcast do anything like this.

Either they don't want a bad NSA Image type thing, or they are just trying to make themselves look better than some. I can't say that I think their motives are one of SUPPORT for Democrats... but it is a DEFINITE change from the way things have been going for a long long time.

I have never been BIG on Comcast myself, but this did make me happy!

5. On a surface sense it makes me happy, but my gut sense says they are doing

it as an enormous PUSH to get Joe to switch parties. That would look like a POSITIVE move for the GOP right at a time when they need positive headlines the most.

The way the corpmedia spins for BushInc, I can easily see this happening.

scenario could be true! I guess since there has been SO LITTLE "good news" I dropped my cynical view and fell for it!!

Live & learn... It was WISHFUL thinking I guess.... I've long since decided that HOPE is a 4-Letter Word!!

7. Sorry - I've been a BFEE watcher for twenty years - I just know how they
highlight some issues that SEEM as if they'll work FOR the left and then spin it around quickly to their benefit. Like the way they did with Rather. They were quiet about that piece and offered no resistance and no comment one way or another. They knew they owned the spin afterwards and when you control most broadcast media you do OWN the spin.

8. I Do Agree... But They Have Never Gone This Far Before!
Again, it could be that they want to "seem" fair. I just got excited because they emailed me directly and it is on their "home page!"
