When their brightest day is your darkest, you know you're not being served

These four men, perhaps more than any others, had the finest day of their lives on 9/11 or immediately afterward. They benefitted, each in his own way, from the shock and pain of that awful day. It was America's bleakest day since December 7, 1941. It was their best day.

Something is wrong with this.

The idea heer occured to me as I heard on the news that creep Kerik is now under Federal investigation involving over a million bux funds from a charity that was managed in his chain of command. And that's just today's news ....

1. Their skewed idea of "leadership" has too many people fooled,
even if it's just one person.

2. I've said it many times: 9/11 was the best thing that ever happened
to these creatures.

3. I'll never forget what I saw at work that day.
The union was on strike that day, so all the management workers were doing strike duty. We had our daily 1PM cheerleading session about how we were going to beat the union. I was a shambles; I'd just realized what happened about 15 minutes before. (It's hard to keep up with the news when you're wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, full face shield and working a saw.) Everyone else seemed to be on Cloud 9. The chatter was that this meant we were going to war and that was going to boost our sales! The head of the company came out and could barely hide his glee. After a moment of silence, he sent us all back to work as the "patriotic" thing to do.

Getting fired by those people was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me.

5. Moved?
Why? I'm not postulating anything about the underlying events. Its really all about people who succeed at a cost to others.

I know you don't make the rules. My statement above was rhetorical ... and maybe a plea that it not get moved. :)
