I have read on a number of threads about a Bill Clinton/Lieberman deal

Supposedly Clinton agreed to campaign for Lieberman if Lieberman agreed not to run as an independent if he lost the primary.

Has anybody got any credible links that confirm this story? Or is this another case of somebody mistaking their fantasy for reality?

4. Yes. I read that the night Clinton (and Dodd, lest we forget)

campaigned for Joe. I read he extracted some kind of deal from Lieberman that, if Lamont won, Joe wouldn't go independent. I read it once, and that's the end of the story as I know it.

Because the first time I saw it on DU, it was described as a wish, not a fact.

a source, so I also don't think I'd believe it if a source wasn't provided.

FWIW: My mom's friend, who's still in CT, sent her a pic from the paper (CT Post) of BC at the podium of the 'rally' held in Waterbury recently. It reads--"Former President Clinton stumps for Sen. Joe Lieberman, left, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Monday.(quote) I want to tell you I'm for Joe Lieberman for reasons that have to do with yesterday and more important, reasons that have to do with tomorrow (unquote), Clinton said." :eyes:

I guess anyone has the right to endorse whomever, esp. an incumbent, but I am truly bothered by him doing this. Go figure.

When Ned Lamont captures the Dem nomination on 8 Aug., I think it equitable for him to be supported at the utmost by ALL other Dems.

I'm not getting some of this. It's making me mo' :crazy: !

I think that Clinton endorsed Lieberman because he feels Lieberman is the better candidate than Lamont.
