What did Bernie wear and other dumb questions about Bush's Cleveland visit
President Bush’s trip to Ohio Wednesday offered answers to a number of burning political questions, including: What does a former NFL star wear when he meets the most powerful man in the world? And, will a Republican park a Rolls Royce on wet grass to get a picture with the president?

(snip)
While everybody wore suits and dresses appropriate for a church service or wedding reception, Kosar stood at the end of the receiving line looking like he was about to head to happy hour at Shooters in the Flats, sporting an open Polo-style shirt and shorts.

In fact, he spent more time chatting with Kosar on the tarmac than he did talking to Blackwell, whom he had come to support. (Blackwell, however, got to ride with the president's limousine.)

Bush had initially scheduled the trip just to attend a fund-raiser for Blackwell. But after the recent flooding in Lake County, the president added a brief meeting with local emergency officials to add some gravitas to his trip.

1. Hope this causes Blackwell's numbers to sink to match Taft's.
Also, "Bush had initially scheduled the trip just to attend a fund-raiser for Blackwell. But after the recent flooding in Lake County, the president added a brief meeting with local emergency officials to add some gravitas to his trip." makes the cost of the trip a complete taxpayer write-off.

2. Gravitas? More like a cheap photo op
Bush didn't even bother to tour the flood area or meet with flood victims.

Yet the Plain Dealer covers for him.

3. As a member of the Suncoast (FL) Browns Backers Club
Bernie Kosar can now kiss my rosie red ass.

I hope his soon to be ex-wife Babette takes him to the cleaners in the divorce!
