Annoyed, top Cuban official, Quizzes NPR Host, "Where's Mr. Cheney Now?!?"

I've been asking this for weeks now, since VP Dick disappeared over 2 weeks ago, amazingly, NONE of the U.S. MSM has asked where he is, and he's been gone for since at least the start of the Israeli Air Strikes, nearly 3 weeks ago.

Yet some how, when Fidel Castro doesn't show up on T.V. immediately after intestinal surgery, the U.S. Media is all over THAT story, asking where Fidel is, and even pushing the story that he's already dead.

Well, Today on NPR's "All Things Considered," while being interviewed by former ABC News reporter Michele Norris, Ricardo Alarcon, president of the Cuban National Assembly, showing his growing annoyance at all our stupid MSM reporters and their bogus questions, he came out, point blank and asked, "Where is Mr. Cheney?"

Official Puts Castro's Absence at 'Some Weeks'

All Things Considered, August 2, 2006 · A top Cuban official says it will be "some weeks" until Fidel Castro returns to power. Ricardo Alarcon, president National Assembly of Cuba, also describes Castro as being "perfectly back" mentally and "alive and alert." The Cuban president is recovering from an operation over the weekend for intestinal bleeding. Alarcon said that Castro drafted the announcement that was made Monday evening, granting provisional powers to his brother, Raul Castro.

Alarcon objected to the term "transfer of power" to describe what had happened: "Really, the wording is 'provisionally handing over certain functions to others' because he simply cannot perform those functions when he’s been forced to rest" after his surgery.

Alarcon did not give any further details about Castro's health or what type of operation he went underwent. He criticized the U.S. interest in Castro's condition.

"The real concern of the people in the United States, more than the particulars of the health of another person, is the very sick policy of pretending to dictate the destiny of somebody else," he said. Raul Castro was in Havana, Alarcon said, and would make a public address "when he so wishes."

I'm not sure if it's because, just like every other U.S. media outlet who completely ignore All countries south of Florida, unless something blows up, they are totally clueless about what's really going on, or if they know they will be "disappeared" by the CIA if they report any news that is not in "the U.S. Interest."

6. Who has EVER seen a photo of someone taken immediately

after surgery? Who on EARTH has reporters and photographers in their room when they're trying to recuperate?

These people have lost touch with common sense altogether.

They need to do something more "journalistic," if it's not too much trouble.

And it's true we hear even less of Cheney since he shot that man in the face, which means only when he's doing fundraising, or shoring up a nasty talking point for _Bush.
