1. Isn't that a requirement for all government office holders?
Isn't there something somewhere that forces them to open their records?
Or is it just such a red flag that all previous candidates have released their records in order to avoid appearance of illegal activities.

This bastard is so bold that he knows he owns the entire voting system in Ohio and can do what he wants with it.

2. Nothing forces a candidate to do it. They do it voluntarily.
Nader doesn't release his returns because he thinks it's a violation of his privacy.

4. As an officeholder
he only has to file financial statements with the state - not as detailed as a tax return.

However, its become standard for candidates to do this in a campaign to show voters they have nothing to hide. Unless they do have something to hide.

Strickland has released his - he made an average of $150,000 per yr but gave his Congressional pay raise and health insurance benefits back to Congress.

Strickland and Sherrod Brown have both refused Congressional health care benefits for the last few years as a form of protest and show of support for their constituents who don't have health insurance.

Wonder how many GOP'ers give back pay raises and health insurance?

5. Blackwell is and has been for a long time out of control. There
seems to be no one in Ohio that is able to pull in the reigns on him.

6. The news media is giving him a pass
Dems are fighting him at the grassroots level and in the courts. But the GOP controls the state and most of the news media here.
