1. I heard that. I never knew you had to ask permission to get on
an elevator if a Senator is already on it. Plus, I know almost all of them on TV, but if they look different in person, what happens if you just don't recognize them????

2. There is one "Senators Only" elevator in the Hart Senate Bldg.
The annointed ones used to get pissed off at Paul Wellstone for inviting us riff-raff into that hallowe chamber.

3. OH, pardon ME! I wouldn't want to mess up the Senator's space!
I can actually see why there would be a Senator's only elevator. They do move around a lot from meetings to the floor etc, and I guess I can understand why they don't need to have to wait in line when there are lots of visitors.
