Why does politics need Gods?
My biggest gripe with this message board is the antagonism between the pragmatists who chide the idealists for being pie in the sky, and the idealists who chide the pragmatists for selling out their morals.

The DLC is evil. The DLC doesnt win. The DNC is evil. The DNC doesnt win. The MAN is the enemy.

X is the best. Y is the best. Z is the best.

Its not about the best. Its about issues, plain and simple...

All of you who have ever read my posts know that I'm a imperialist pig of the Lieberman mold, but I'll tell ya... the issues I care about are choice, the environment, and MY country. To that end, I select canddiates who support my views. I dont like Kucinich one bit - and I dont understand how people can hold hm to be a God by ignoring his positions on other issues.

Cynthia McKinney is a liberal, but shes also abrasive, unpolished, and embarassing to the party as a whole. Do I like her positions? Some of em. But she is a racist through and through, and its ridiculous to believe that she is in some sense superior to other good democrats who do not make our party look like fools.

Does that mean I want her to lose? No. I want her to act like a Congresswoman, not an activist.

To his credit, Kucinich on the floor acts like a Congressman. I hate his speeches OFF the floor, though.

Im venting - but why do we need Gods in our politics?

Why cant we just have "good" and "bad"

Why must we have purity when he cant even seize power from abject corruption?
