Time is running out to help Ned Lamont.
The Democratic primary challenge to Jospeh Lieberman is Tuesday, August 8, 2006 (one week from the time of this writing.)

If you want to send a postcard to a friend or relative in Connecticut using the webpage at Ned Lamont's website, now is a good time.

If you want to donate (or donate again), now is a good time.

1. Lamont's appearance on Colbert last night
was worth a wad in advertising dollars. He really did a great job.

I have contributed $$$ to his campaign (I'm in California) to hopefully be used in a last minute TV ad blitz.

2. Are there any recent polls? Last I saw it seems they were about tied.

4. Rasmussen had Lamont beating Joe by @ 10% in the primary
They were neck in neck in the hypothetical three way race. If Joe loses the primary, and his independent run becomes a reality, I am sure his numbers would go down more than this poll suggests.

Joseph Lieberman (I) 40%
Ned Lamont (D) 40%
Alan Schlesinger (R) 13%

7. I agree. I think when people see Joe lose the primary he will
lose alot of support. I can't imagine supporting a Dem who lost in the primary.

I thought he would have had a dead cat bounce by now, let me know if it ever comes.

that came out today. Wherever you are getting your information from, you should seek another source.

17. actual information is not required to fuel an attitude here at DU
doncha know?

It interferes in the split between "us" and "them" ---- whatever that means.

Shockingly, it was nothing constructive and nothing they haven't said 100 times before. :sarcasm:

28. you seem obsessed with the DLC
Edited on Wed Aug-02-06 10:25 PM by AtomicKitten
Not everyone that thinks you are a twit supports the DLC (there are quite a few of the former but not so many of the latter), but you'd actually have to research that information and, like I said, actual information conflicts with your campaign of silliness here at DU.

Your uninformed assertions are always amusing nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

oh, BTW, here's some of the pesky actual information: http://forward.com/articles/8190

9. You've inspired me, Eric,
to make another contribution.

I'm hoping Lamont wins but I think it'll be very close.

He's got the heavy Dem guns all aimed at him.

13. Thank you. It will be close. Lieberman is spending...
...about $10 million while Lamont is spending about $5 million.

Also, Lieberman has the support of Bill Clinton, the Hartford Courant, the LA Times, and the Washington Post.

25. On Monday, I sent out about 40 of those postcards.
I've also helped out at his campaign office in Willimantic and have kicked in a few bucks to his coffers.

Suffice it to say, I'm not supporting Mr. Lieberman! ;)
