If our leaders had listened to leaders like Kucinich, McDermott & McKinney
There would be no war in Iraq. There would be no USA-PATRIOT. The bankruptcy bill would have failed. There would be a cease-fire in Lebanon. The South would not have been devastated by the aftermath of Katrina. American jobs would still be American jobs. This is just the top of the list. We owe all three of these liberals a great deal. This year, let's elect more great leaders to support these three in their fight for us.

3. Thanks.
I keep hoping to change that but you are right about the effect of money.

7. That's correct.
Despite the unadulterated bullshit spread by those DLCers currently on a sweep to purge progressives from the party.

They are proving, with every word and breath, that the corporate wing of the Democratic Party is no better than the Republican when it comes to propaganda in favor of mainstreet corporate America.

8. Last week, Dennis stood up against a bill that could close down DU
Edited on Tue Aug-01-06 12:34 AM by Padme Amidala
It was aimed at stopping organizing for immigration marches but the result is that any set of forums that does not check the age of its members and which does not moderate all posts can be closed down under the Fitzpatrick's bill that claims to be aimed at protecting minors. Pelosi didn't care what the America's youth thought. The National Youth Rights Association and virtually every youth group in existence have come out against HR 5319 because it is aimed at keeping them from organizing protests and marches. Dennis is a hero to anti-Bush Internet activists and to the youth movement. The next generation of voters is on Dennis's side.

McKinney is also a champion of civil rights for everyone. She has the courage to speak truths that Bush supporters don't want to hear and the thing Bush fears most is that both McKinney and Kucinich will retain their seats.

9. I agree. Despite the smears, both are among the best
representatives we've got. It would be nice if we could elect more people with few corporate strings attached and a bit more interest is actual citizens.

10. Agreed
if the dem party doesn't get rid of those big money beholden "centrists" who in actual fact are firmly set in the right, things wouldn't be much different anyhow. Just a little nicer face and lots of false hope is all.
