HOW could a cease fire possibly hinder progress toward a permanent
solution for peace in any war? Mr. and Mr. BushnBlair are on the TV saying that if a cease fire happens between Hezbollah and Israel right now the chance for a permanent solution will somehow stop.

First responders always take action to stop loss of life. You don't let a person bleed to death while you try and figure out the "ROOT" cause of their problem. You put a damn bandage on, get the person stable and THEN you try and fix the root problem.

Anything else would seem rather sadistic wouldn't you say?

2. You've got to start somewhere!
I'd say a cease fire is a cease fire. Demanding it have an unqualified "permanent" attached only prolongs the killing of innocents.

3. neocons' idea of Permanent Peace is when their masters
run out of bullets to sell. Until then, they are just in sales & marketing for the Military Industrial Complex Ike warned us about.

4. Sadistic in the extreme - - Yes!
Ceasefire... immediate as possible. "Stop the Bleeding", and THEN explore the causes and seek the solutions.

and those men , women and children who are going to die because the shithead in the oval office doesn't want to push for an 'artificial peace' won't really be dead, now will they?

I am so sick and tired of these death worshiping neo-con freaks both in Israel and here at home..

9. it won't
but it's clear the US and Israel is loathed to send in ground troops to sweep the area and clear it of rockets and weapons.
Hezbollah has 13k or so rockets supposedly bombing the crap out of Lebanon to break civilian support is mindless, immoral and will end in total failure if it ever ends at all

10. they don't want a cease-fire, permanent or otherwise...
they're taking this indefensibly ridiculous stance only to delay the fight while they figure out how to use it to attack Iran and Syria. It's part of their grand plan.

They don't care how many babies have to die. They have a PLAN!
