Thank you 51 repukes!!!!
Edited on Thu Jul-20-06 12:10 AM by Daylin Byak
I shouldn't be doing this cause it's a democratic message board, but I would like to thank the 51 repukes who for once and I mean once used there brains and voted to override the veto on H.R 810, the stem cell protection act. These repuke think that one day stem cells could one day help the people in the world by living and getting out of a wheelchair and so forth. They are the following:

-Joe Barton, Texas
-Charlie Bass, New Hampshire
-Judy Biggert, Illinois
-Brian Bilbray, California
-Sherry Bohlert, New York
-Mary Bono, California
-Jeb Bradley, New Hampshire
-Ginny Brown Waite, Florida
-Ken Calvert, California
-Shelley Moore Capito, West Virginia
-Michael Castle, Deleware
-Howard Coble, North Carolina
-Tom Davis, Virginia
-Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania
-David Drier, California
-Mark Foley, Florida
-Vito Fosella, New York
-Rodney Frelinghuysen, New Jersey
-Jim Gerlach, Pennsylvania
-Jim Gibbons, Nevada
-Wayne Gilchrest, Maryland
-Kay Granger, Texas
-Darrell Issa, California
-Nancy Johnson, Connecticut
-Sue Kelly, New York
-Mark Kirk, Ilinois
-Jim Kolbe, Arizona
-Steven LaTourette, Ohio
-Jim Leach, Iowa
-Jerry Lewis, California
-Connie Mack IV, Florida
-Howard McKeon, California
-Todd Platts, Pennsylvania
-Jon Porter, Nevada
-Deborah Pryce, Ohio
-Jim Ramstad, Minnesota
-Ralph Regula, Ohio
-Dave Reichart, Washington
-Dana Rohrabacher, California
-Clay Shaw, Florida
-Chris Shays, Connecticut
-Rob Simmons, Connecticut
-John Sweeney, New York
-Bill Thomas, California
-Fred Upton, Michigan
-Greg Walden, Oregon
-Curt Weldon, Pennsylvania
-Heather Wilson, New Mexico
-Don Young, Alaska

I just want to thank you all for using your brain on in a while on voting to override the veto on stem cell research. Now sone of you may voted for this bill cause your thing stem cell research is a good
thing and having the president veto this important piece of legislation is wrong. Some of you may voted for this as a political stunt cause your going to have a tough election this fall and having voted to override the veto is showing that "your sticking it to the man". Regardless why I just want to say thank you I still hate all of you but thank you for using your brain for once.

I thank you.

3. I thank them as well
I'm doing this cause these republicans crossed the party lines and voted for this.

But yes thank you to the 183 dems that voted for this. But the 14 that sided with the "life" repukes, you can all just burn in hell.

I thank you.

4. Everybody knows somebody with a disease that could be cured.
unfortunately, it usually takes these knuckleheads firsthand personal experience before they come around to something. Better this than the usual, I suppose.

8. You know what--that isn't very many, and that does NOT represent
the feeling of the country vis a vis this matter. Far more should have crossed the line.

Are every single one of these bastards up for reelection? And are none of the others who voted the opposite way on the hot seat?

10. Yes, if you happen to have a handy list of GOP up for reelection
from the House that we can bounce off the subject line vote, I think it would be informative! It does help to sort out the craven panderers from the cynical pragmatists and the creepy "true believers" at least to some extent.

if I'm not mistaken, my cowardly Rep. Pinhead (R) abstained.
