So why didn't the Diebold candidate in GA win yesterday?
Cathy Cox, who helped bring Diebold to GA, lost the Dem primary for Governor yesterday. While pre-election polls for primaries are notoriously inaccurate, the one I saw had Taylor winning 50% to 44%. And in the end, Taylor won 51% to 44%.

So what gives?

1. Maybe it's so people will question their view of Diebold
"Hey, maybe all the documented exploits, back doors and security holes in Diebold machines aren't that bad!"

Or maybe they just didn't flip the "Rob Georgia" switch.

2. Diebold is being sued in Georgia. They have to lose some to win the suit.

4. Diebold can only cheat so much
You can probably add 10% percent to that spread. So it would be 56% to 39% No doubt there are rethugs right now scratching their heads wondering just how far they can ratchet up the cheat factor and still get away with it. The primaries are important testing grounds for this I should think since they occur at different times.

8. Huh? Kaine (D) won in VA in 05, on plenty of Diebold machines
Pre-election polls had Kaine barely ahead, but he ended up winning by 6%. I don't get what you point is.

9. That people cry election fraud when their candidate loses, but
everything is on the up-and-up when their guy wins.

11. You can't have it both ways.

It's silly to scream "It's Diebold's fault!" when Dems lose while ignoring the fact that plenty of Republicans lose using Diebold machines, too.

...and it's particularly silly to explain away a Dem win with ststements like "Well, Diebold can't be too obvious about it". Hell, Diebold supposedly "stole" a Presidential election...what would be more obvious than that?

ON EDIT:

After reading your responses to another poster, I see that we're probably in agreement on this issue.

13. I agree
I think it's silly to get worked up about Diebold when we should be working hard to win elections. Sure, I believe there is some fraud, but not as big as some people make it out to be.

6. Maybe because now that they're there they don't need her anymore?
Use and discard.

Why have a turncoat Dem when there's a perfectly good Repub running in the general election?

12. Did you know...Diebold makes ATM machines....
this really doesn't add to the discussion, but i was taking money out the other day, and noticed that the ATM was built by Dibold.

I hand counted my money twice to make sure.
