2. Think this through...
I have family and friends there now. They have no desire to leave. I was evacuated from Beirut in 1967 throught the airport. Just how do you expect the State department to get the people out?

6. Yes it is, only it's not my back yard this time.
But getting the Dems to start bashing Bush would let them pretend the Dems are being "partisan." Nothing different would happen, except we'd look bad instead of Bush. Exactly as happened in New Orleans when Dems criticized Bush.
